  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have an ETA that has been bouncing around a week plus or minus and is now one month out.

My question is at what point does a car appear on failcat? When it is released to build? When it is finished building? Neither? All I am trying to determine is if I have a the following dates, when will i see it on failcat?

Body in = 28 Sept
Paint in = 29 Sept
Trim in = 30 Sept
Production completed = 1 Oct
Final inspection = 6 Oct
Tendered not shipped = 10 Oct (what the heck does tendered not shipped mean? Everything finished and ready to go?)
Shipment out = 12 Oct
Dealer arrival = 17 Oct

The closer it gets the more nervous I get that something is going to go wrong......been waiting since 30 Jan...

Stephen I don't understand your reply.
Marc was asking Stephen, who works at a Kia dealership, if he knows.

Based on your timeline, I would expect to see it in Failcat on October 2, a day after production completed.

That assumes nothing changes, such as part delays, manufacturing delays, etc.

I don't understand your reply. Nevermind, I understand now.

Sorry - since you are new I should have elaborated more. @StephenCantrelle is my salesman and also probably the biggest help on this forum. A couple of key folks feed reliable information and help countless folks with their ETA on a regular basis. Stephen is one of them.

One thing that will help and give context for other members is to update your signature with what you have ordered. See mine as an example. I too have been waiting since January.

Dark Moss, Dune Brown interior.

If everything holds up looks like we will be getting ours just a few days apart.
Are you in the DFW area?

I am in San Antonio. Back in December/January when I was looking for a dealership that allowed you to order at MSRP - @StephenCantrelle came highly recommended. When my car arrives - I will fly up to get it and drive back. Where are you located?

I'm just a little west of Fort Worth. When I ordered both of the Kia dealers around here were selling at MSRP or very close to it.
