• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... There is already a thread about this but it's old.
On the steering wheel, for volume up you toggle up, for track forward you toggle down. Is it that way for everyone?

I'm wondering if there's a way to switch it in a developer mode or if it's possible to just flip the switch upside down. Has anyone taken one of these or a similar Kia steering wheel apart or recall anyone posting anything of relevance to this situation?

I recall someone talking about replacing the steering wheel with a Palisade wheel to get paddle shifters, I couldn't find any schematics on that thread. I know we have some people on here who are good at digging into this stuff and finding schematics.

It's just another aspect of this infotainment system that makes me think or do more than I should have to while operating a motor vehicle.

It's funny, I was just thinking the same thing today. Just seems weird. I'll get used to it I guess.

yes, its' backwards.... and irritating. I have had my Telluride for 11 months and I'm not used to it yet.

Just think of tracks, radio stations, etc as a vertical list and it will maybe help?

(6ish weeks in and still getting used to this too)

Yikes. I'm going to look really hard at finding a way to reverse it. I've not quite had it a week and sometimes I get it and sometimes I have to concentrate a little too hard on that. Hearing from someone who's had theirs a year and still isn't used to it is concerning.

I haven't driven any of my other cars since I got the Telluride. I'm guessing the confusion will reign once I start switching back and forth between cars more frequently.

Please update us if you find something :)

That's an interesting perspective. It's still backwards from any car I've spent time in, requires thinking and deters focus. I can handle it if I think about it before doing. It should be automatic.
Thanks!

Yeah, the button design makes sense when you're scrolling through your preset list while looking at the Radio screen (push up to scroll up the list and down to scroll down), but it's definitely confusing when you use the button for other functions.

Drove me nuts at first, but I am now used to it. It is pretty rare now that I go the wrong way.

It’s backwards in my 2021 as well. I have a Stinger as well that is not backwards, so switching between the 2 vehicles is a tad annoying with this, lol.
