If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So, quick story:

Driving a 17 Pathfinder now - warranty ran out in July. A light came on the dash and I was SO annoyed that I'd have to pay for diagnosis/fix with extremely lowwww mileage WHILE I'M STILL MAKING PAYMENTS. I was like that is it! I'm going to trade this puppy in on something with a longer warranty and buy an extended warranty this time.

Down the rabbit hole I went and Telluride/Palisade were then on my radar (I had never heard of and have no idea if I've even seen either of them before)... well holy cow, who knew that these are some of the most talked about/sought after SUV's right now. Great, now I gotta pay some stupid "market adjustment fee"??? I reached out to a bunch of different places and found a dealership that is not charging a markup on their LX models (most I spoke to were though) - which is the only model I wanted because I hate sunroofs. I considered both the T and P but ultimately I preferred the leatherette over the cloth seats at the base model on the Telluride.

I pick it up Saturday:) Getting it in black:) I never get excited about cars even when I bought my last 3 new cars but I'm actually excited about this one, maybe it's because y'all have been hyping it up so much ha!

Haha, thank you - yes! In my defense, I've been scouring contracts for work since 4 am...my brain is a little broken:(

I don't care about cars. Computers, cars and copiers. I don't care how they work, I don't want to know how to fix them. I just want them to do what I want without giving me any grief. That being said, I had a Ford Explorer from I think the first year they came out that I grieved over when I had to get rid of it after 250,000 miles. Now I must admit that I've taken far more interest in my Telly than I have since then. I really like it, so far. If it doesn't give me any grief, I think we are going to be very happy together!

Congrats on the car! The hype isn’t fake it’s a great car. My wife could not car for cars at all. She hates parking it because it’s huge compared to our old car. But she does comment on the car still every time we get in it, that’s almost everyday since receiving it 3 weeks ago. Hahaha.
Your BF won’t think your crazy once he sits in it and drives it around if you let him. :ROFLMAO:

Exactly that - I want the reliability and I long for an enduring, stable relationship with a car for once :ROFLMAO:

I'm sooooo curious as to how it will feel driving compared to my Pathfinder but I will let the bf chauffeur me home in it - out of state pick up ;)

The pics were from before I arrived so they hadn't done the big delivery sparkle and shine yet but here it is! I drove nearly 4 hours to the dealership, got the paperwork done and immediately drove back - so it was late when I got home and I didn't super duper check it out until yesterday, I still need to play with some of the features. I love it! The long drive home made me really appreciate the Apple CarPlay as the map was front and center - no more glancing at my phone! Overall, the ride felt similar to my Pathfinder but it is definitely quieter and has an entirely different "feel" inside - it feels more private if that makes sense. The speakers are WAY better than my Pathfinder - which may just be the positioning or whatever but very noticeable. Funny thing is I have been scouring the roads and parking lots for a Telluride for a couple of weeks and I've not seen a one! On my drive back in mine, a Telluride passed me on the interstate:) Now I have to name it :geek:.
Dealership said people were driving from states away to get the LX and S as those are the models they are not marking up (every other dealership I spoke with was marking up about 3-4k).
