  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My wife had her Mazda CX-9 viciously attacked by an angry deer a few weeks ago, and alas, it was totaled! But it was a 2009 with 175K miles, so it had a long and prosperous life. :). Anyway we were shopping some dealerships in Wichita Kansas today. I had done some research on Tellurides and wanted to drive one in person, luckily the dealership had one available to look at and test drive( it was already sold but owner said they could use it for demo a few more weeks.). We also went down the street and test drove a Hyundai Palisade, another impressive vehicle. We just now need to decide which one we like and how long we are willing to wait before one becomes available.

Thats our story, I just stumbled across this forum while searching on the net. Very interesting and informative, so I think Ill stick around for awhile and do some reading.
best regards

Welcome to the forum. You’re right. There are tons of information on this site. Please peruse all the threads to assist you in making a decision. Good luck

Good luck with the hunt Jim. My wife and I were in the market for a new car and test drove the Palisade as well as the Telluride. We ended up going with the Telluride mainly because we liked the looks better, but also because it felt roomier on the inside.

In May I decided I needed a new car (2012 Acadia not worth the A/C repair needed). I went test driving with kids (16 and 11) because a dealer between my parents house and ours had a Telluride and Palisade on the lot. My kids were determined to love the Palisade better until we drove it. Then the 11 year old said Telluride was better. I agreed that I liked the Telluride better, but I did not want the black one we test drove. I knew they were hard to find but not how hard. So mine got ordered when KFOS opened back up and should be here in the next 3 weeks. The dealer I am working with has gotten in other Tellurides and had me come see the Sangria in person to make sure I really liked the color. (Even had a used 2020 in last week with 7K miles on it.) But I am waiting for the one I ordered as it is exactly what I want. In the mean time I saved for a bigger down payment.

So what did you order? Model? Color? Options? Sounds exciting.

I have an Sangria EX with Premium and Tow package coming. Black interior. I personally like color in the exterior of my cars and the Sangria was the only color that came close for me. The SX was just a bit high for me to reach $$ wise for so few features that I really cared about. I have had a 3 row SUV since 2012. It has captain chairs too. Since I only have 2 kids that is fine. I like the extra cargo room for a 3 row as I have 2 large dogs (great pyrenees and a saint bernard) and to haul stuff. My kids are in band, 4-H, girls scouts, boy scouts, and my daughter and I show on the Saddlebred circuit (she rides and I drive a cart) so the space comes in handy a lot. And I love being able to take extra friends and family when needed. I already own a basket for the rear hitch and roof cargo carrier and have used them with current car.

Sounds awesome. Perfect vehicle for your and your family’s needs. 👍
