• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a new 2021 SX Nightfall (Canada), it has the towing package with self levelling suspension. I had a dealer installed hitch and 7-pin brake controller (Primus IQ Electronic Brake Control). Ive read quite a few of the threads on towing and want to make sure I dont buy a lead weight that cannot be towed effectively by the Telly.

Im hoping on towing a travel trailer (Rockwood Geo Pro G19BH) with the following specs and am wondering if the experts out there think would be pushing the limit of the Telluride? Also any suggestions are welcomed, I know that most our there suggest a weight distribution hitch.

GeoPro Travel Trailer
Hitch Weight: 360 lb.
UVW 3088 lb. (units are actually coming in around 3200 lb. from factory)
CCC 1172 lb.
Exterior Length: 20' 2"
Exterior Height: 9' 10"
Exterior Width: 92"

Telluride
GVWR: 5917 lb.
GAWR Front: 2954 lb.
GAWR Rear: 3196 lb.

Im guessing that fully loading up with gear could add 1000 lb.? Im not sure how people guess that part (full tanks, bikes, gear, etc).?

I was thinking of adding a Borla exhaust and cold air for a little boost of power.

Thanks 🙏
Roland

Yes, the dealer mounted it even though I told them to leave it loose but the location is actually pretty hidden so im ok with it.
