This floor mat doesn’t allow removal of the rear cargo cover? It’s a single piece? I mean the floor cover, which lifts completely off. Here’s a pic of it open, but not removed.

I am not sure what you are asking, but the cargo mat is 1 piece(cargo+seat back). I don't have the mat nor my car yet but there is bit of slack between the seat back and the cargo area. So even with cover removed, I would guess the cargo area will lay flat on the bottom portion.

Thanks to all who have done the legwork for this. I just got off the phone with Ted at Turner Kia- he was super easy to work with and knew what I was going to ask for when I said he was “internet famous”!

He was able to get his first three 60/40 mats in with no problem. Today he ordered another dozen from the same guy in Canada and is waiting on confirmation. I am now #9 on that list.

Cost will be $209 plus shipping to your zip code. He said shipping from him on the East coast to California was only $25. I’m in Denver so expecting a little less expense.

He will call me within a week to confirm the order and take payment. He also said another forum user is going to post an installation video here?

We should send Ted a fruit basket or something, haha!

If I had a need for one of these later, after covid, and still only available in Canada, I assume I could order through a dealer and pick up? We are a 30 minute drive from Windsor, Ontario. No special handshake needed?

It is Kia Canada OEM part, as long as they don't discontinue(rain guards), you should be able to pick up at any Canadian dealer. I would call ahead though.

I just stumbled upon this thread looking for the best seat protectors. I actually purchased my Telly from Turner Kia and need to drop her off next week to fix the driver side mirror camera. I'll be sure to check with Ted about the cargo mats.
