• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello to all who are in the same boat as the wife and I... are we crazy to pay extra (4k ouch), wait 3,4,5,6,7,8, 9+ months for a KIA? The wife loves it and it seems nice from what I've seen but... Well... Happy wife, happy life...?

Ordered SNW SX P/T/N and everything else they offered on 11/5/2020. Hoping that after the election (hate politics!!) and hopefully Covid shut downs are over with, we won't have to wait as long as the dealer quoted (there latest one that arrived was ordered in Dec! small dealer)... Any thoughts??

Just praying they are as good as everyone seams to say they are... Just kills to pay anything more than 5-10% OFF of msrp let alone over! Did I really just do that??? Could of bought several different SUV's right off the lot for about the same price.

Also wondering about the color we chose? Seen multiple discussions about whether or not SNP is being replaced by GWP or even vice versus. Our dealer seamed to be confident that SNP was still available. Again any thoughts? Or better yet any facts???

Sorry if I'm babbling... just venting a little after paying over msrp and having to wait too!!!

Find a dealer that will sell at MSRP. I did (Plano Texas). I ordered my SX Nightfall (non-prestige) in Dark Moss and Butterscotch leather on August 30th and took delivery 53 days later. I paid MSRP minus $400 for military discount.

Ok, that makes me jealous... haven't been able to find any dealer around my area (within 500 miles) that is offering msrp. my local one is the lowest I've found at 4k but they are a small dealership so they have a small allotment! On the good side though is they offer a lifetime warranty!!

Plus and minus of living in a small town... wouldn't change it though!

And BTW thank you for your service....

Sorry, but your dealer is either stupid, can’t read, or both.

Snow white pearl ended production in August. If you want a new Telluride in white, it will now be glacial white pearl.

Small dealer / allotment means you’ll be waiting awhile. And a lifetime warranty usually means you have to get all the work on the car done at that dealership or another Kia dealer. You may already know that, but pointing out that it ends up costing a lot more than taking the car somewhere else for maintenance.
If you really want / need it sooner, you’ll look outside your radius.

What region are you located in and what dealer are you currently working with? There are many resources here who can help you to locate a dealer that sells at a much more reasonable cost.

So you paid $4k above MSRP and ordered? If you're willing to pay the extra, I'd recommend just looking for a dealer selling the car with the same specs (may be hard with everything that you want) and just buy it that way. A benefit to ordering other than getting a vehicle with the specs you want is getting it at a prime cost. If you want to order, I'd recommend canceling your order with that dealer and ordering through a dealer that sells at MSRP.

I drove 10.5 hours to get my car from Texas. Rented a car one-way (because I was an National Emerald Club member, I was able to get a one-way rental for just $94). I left home at 6:30 AM and arrived around 5:00PM in Plano. After doing all the paperwork, I left Plano and headed home. At about 11PM I spent the night in the car at a rest area LOL! Finished the trip home Saturday morning.

I paid under MSRP (Canada), but accepted the dealer fees and perks, so it was basically a wash and ended up being at MSRP. For their accounting, it seems they would rather discount the car and add their fees and perks. Perhaps that impacts the dealership's overall record. Then I had a trade-in, so that knocked off quite a bit. I can't imagine paying $4k above MSRP ($5k CAD). Seems like others here have found dealerships (perhaps not quite close to home) with a better cost.
