Black SX wheels

Just picked up our GWP SX. First thing I did was swap out the factory lug nuts with gorilla’s “the system” black wheel locks. I feel like they fill in the open space better, adds great protection (every nut is a lock), and blacks out the wheels even more. Also swapped the center caps with the nightfall ones for an overall darker look. Interested in your comments/opinions.

I hate that the factory lug nuts are chrome. I plan to switch out as well. Unfortunately we ordered the lock nuts from the factory and I am assuming those are coming as chrome as well.

From what I’ve seen, the factory locks are chrome and replace one lug nut from each wheel. Luckily, mine did not come with locks. I love these so I do recommend them.

Thread size is 12mm x 1.5

found them on Amazon. I think the price is very fair.

I say yes they will fit. The stud threads are the same on all tellurides. The nightfall lug nut openings look the same as the SX wheels. Should be no fitment issues.

Kiacheapparts.com had the best price at the time. Part# 52960-S9100 they are the same center caps that come on the Nightfall Edition wheels. Just give the part number to your dealer or google and order from an online Kia parts dealer. Good luck!

Excellent idea! I didn't order the factory locks because I figured they would be chrome, which I don't care for and figured I would go aftermarket. Gravity Gray SXP with dune on order so I'll be going with your plan. Thank you for the tip, pics and info!

I think it looks great. Subtle difference but should have come that way to begin with. If I get an SX will probably do the same.

I purchased Gorilla Item #71631NBC (4 Lock Nuts). Size is 12mm x 1.5" However, these were 1/2" longer than the non-locking nuts I removed. The shortest I have found are 12mm x 1.25". Has anyone seen anything different out there? It seems everyone on this forum is going with the 1.5".

Not sure if it’s an option but they definitely sell the set in black which you can buy. I guess if you did ask for them they would install them when they car arrived and you would have an extra set of the regular ones that initially came with the car.

I ended up buying a vehicle that came in sooner though, so I had the Parts department order the black wheel locks for me.

Thanks. I spoke with the dealer that I'm working with now and he insists that they only come in chrome. That's so odd.

KIA p/n S9F44-AU000.

I may be wrong about my build sheet! It shows “WL” for $60. I just have it in email that the wheel locks are black. So… it’s possible it’s not a build option, but KIA offers it for sale as a part.
