• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Looking for city bumper guards:

I decided to create a new thread as my request is not exclusive to the off roading forum. I just purchased a new Nightfall 2021 Telluride. I live in the downtown Chicago and on occasion I will need to street park while visiting restaurants and other errands and trips. I am looking for ''light" bull bars or brush bars to protect my Telly from other parallel parkers. (Parking by braille :) ). I have done the compulsory google searches and cannot find a wide selection of both front bumper and rear bumper guards that will compliment my nightfall. I would like wrap around protection up to the front wheel well (for the front bumper bar) and rear wheel well for the rear bumper protection. But I DO NOT need headlamp of high bars. Just something low and powder coated to match the black. If anyone is aware of a company who can fabricate my unicorn request or has a solution in stock, I would appreciate the reply.

Not looking to use bumper buddies (rubber mat that you keep in your trunk)

I use the weathertech bumpstep XL for the rear bumper. I'd be interested in something similar for the front

Thanks. I had a great off road brush-gaurd set when I was a younger man on my 4 runner. Today I am not off roading just protecting my car from bad drivers. Again, I appreciate the link.

I had purchased the Black Horse front push bar off Ebay and sent it back. The bar seemed ok but the way it mounted was not good. The way it is designed , is in no way you can push anything. Strictly Esthetics.. You also have to cut the plastic sections below to attach the mounting brackets. I would not recommend.

I’m actually looking into this too. I live in NY and people here can’t park to save there lives. (Not all people but most) and I was actually doing my research on the GoRhino RC2 bull bar. Seen it on the 2020 and I liked it a lot.

I wonder how it mounts up. There is not a lot of places to attach it and I know if its on there, it's got to be useful. Let me know if you purchase one and I'll research it myself.. And yes ,it looks great!!

Currently looking into how it installs. Haven’t seen many videos on telluride mounting but I am curious. It is about 200$ Or more depending on light bar or leds. Will look under the front bumper and see what type of mount would be needed. But let me know what you find. Currently messages go rhino to see what they say. Unless they custom made a mount

There is just the left and right side frame posts and they are about 6 or 7 inches above the plastic shield below. That's it. And just 5/16" bolts for the mounting brackets. Just not much to grab on to.

Yea not to much meat there. I asked a Reddit person how was mounting and installation. Hoping to get an answer later or by tomorrow.

Not a lot of meat to grab there. Reading around and seen a lot of people concerns about the front sensors being blocked. I know there is the sensor on the front wind shield right bought the mirror. But I would have to look into the ones in the front bumper. I don’t have an SX just an EX but still good to check. What you think?

I've been thinking about getting a bully bar too, purely for looks, but the sensor thing made me second guess it too. A guy in the Facebook group has the bush bars on his EX, and said not many sensors on front, so has had no effect. But he did say it mounts where the fog lights go, so they would have to be removed or moved.

I may still go with one if i can find an inexpensive one, but now I just wonder how the install is.

I’ve seen the bush bars and I’m not 100% on those. I love the bull bar look that I saw on a telluride but the front sensor is making me a little skeptical. I know it’s a distant sensor I believe. RC2 goRhino is what I’m looking into

Would you mind posting a picture of that bumpstep on your Telluride? It seems like it would be too large for the vehicle but honestly, I've been noticing a ton of cars with damage to the back here (FL) and am considering ordering one. Thanks!

Not sure if a company is working on this as a retail product, but my favorite design "off-road inspired but clean enough for urban use" version is on the concept Texas themed Kia Telluride:

Based on the logo on the bumper, it looks like it was made by these guys: LGE-CTS MOTORSPORTS | "BAJA FORGED" SPECIALTY BUILDS

Does it gave the front dual layer. Need it for my 2021 ex nightfall. Like this

I’ll give a dollar to the guy who finds a good one.

I don't believe Go Rhino has an RC2 that works on a stock Telluride yet. The Black Horse works but requires cutting as mentioned previously.

Most bull bars are just for esthetics or mounting lights unless you find one that mounts directly to a "frame" member of the unibody. The grill guards are mostly intended to prevent branch strikes and road strikes (deer) from damaging the front end worse than if you didn't have one. And also for mounting lights.

A relatively simple and clean way to mount tow hooks to frame front and back would be nice.
