I think the GV80 is the most impressive win , knocking out the Germans in its first attempt at a Lux SUV , the GV70 looks impressive too , loooking forward to seeing it's launch ........it's going to have the new 3.5 TT V6 !
I agree. I think when that GV80 comes out there might be some folks shopping for a Telluride SX-P that might reconsider and will open up the door to more inventory for the Tellurides. It probably will also put a good slow down on the Telluride high markups if you can go get a GV80 starting at $48,900. Looks sharp and has a 7700 lbs towing rating, perfect for medium sized toy hauling.I think the GV80 is the most impressive win , knocking out the Germans in its first attempt at a Lux SUV , the GV70 looks impressive too , loooking forward to seeing it's launch ........it's going to have the new 3.5 TT V6 !
My experience with LUX SUVs ( X5 and X6 ) is that if you only need practicality you are paying waaaaaay too much for the badge , I had 3 rental houses and 2 cabins and I was always loading my vehicles with tools and building materials , basically abusing the interiors ..........as people movers and daily drivers great ..................... I'm waiting for the GV70 it might be a good alternative for my currents needs ..................the Telly is still high on my list tooI agree. I agree with your thinking. But I still anticipate that there will be some Telluride SX-P with Nightfall potential buyers looking at the MSRP and comparing that to the low end Genesis GV80 at $50K. But for the top end $70K GV80, I think that's a totally different buyer with very different needs. In a few years these will be awesome options on the used market with low mileage. I'll bet the new Sorento will pull more customers away from the Telly ...................they are hitting dealers now and we'll get a sense pretty quickly when monthly sales are posted over the next 6 monthsI agree with your thinking.
