• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I went through a area of road construction yesterday and got mud all over the side of the ride. When I opened the door I noticed the mad was on the lower inside of the door. Is this ussal for this to happen? I looks like there is a seal on the lower door area, but it does not work well.

I noticed the same thing on mine this weekend. Doors definitely don't seal very well at the bottom

Ditto. When I detailed my car this weekend I noticed there was a surprising amount of dirt on the lower inside doors.

Same here - had a winter storm and door jams definitely have mud/salt/crud on them.

I am wondering if I put running boards on if it will help or just putting some mud flaps on.

If it is like my car, the dirt, soap, water, that is on the inside of the door is on the plastic trip at the bottom. It is not getting “inside” the car. More on the exterior surface outside of the where the “shape of the door” is.
As long as it drains away and doesn’t sit on the metal to cause corrosion, I can deal with it.
