• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 14.10 update (November 2020) now available

Yeah, that's radio screen is pretty awful. Is that just Sirius, or does it look like that for FM/AM as well? I've downloaded the update, but I might hold off.

All of the screens look pretty underwhelming IMHO. Love the concept of "profiles", but those purple icons don't exactly say "modern UI design".

It's the same screen for FM/AM. I didn't see a way to return to the old format, but haven't had much time to play around with it yet.

Still deciding... I think I'm going to like having multiple user profiles so my wife and I can each have our own radio presets. It looks like each user profile can be paired with a different cell phone, although I haven't tried that yet. I think each profile also has its own GPS address book, which could be good or bad. I'd like to have the option to share GPS address books among profiles--it could be I just haven't found that option yet. I don't think I like the new radio screens so far and, as #ksyrah mentioned, all my radio presets disappeared. I think the new way station information is displayed is a bit harder to work with. I'm sure I'll get used to soon, though.

Are those supposed to be vacuum tubes? Looks pretty cool.

If you update and for whatever reason don't like it, is there a way to roll back to the previous version?

OK, after rebooting I was able to start the download with the Nav Updater. You can see in the pic that it says it's the November Update:

does the radio still have a scan button? didn't see that in the screenshot but maybe that's just because it was sirius?

For what it’s worth, this was the response from MnSOFT when I asked if we can apply the update to model year 2021. It seems the consensus is that’s it’s just fine and I’ll probably update also, but I said I’d post the reply when I got it, so here it is.

btw, the one time they said 2020 in the email looks like a typo, it should say 2021

Have successfully downloaded and applied the UVO Navi update 14.10 Canadian version for the 2020 Telluride to my 2021 Telluride, no problems.

Different option now when you plug in the update USB with the downloaded files to your vehicle - Update now, or in Background. No idea what the difference is. The previous puzzling option selection of Quick or General, is gone. I did the Update now, took about 20-25 mins. Vehicle off in the garage, in accessory mode, battery maintainer connected to the battery.

Others have covered the various changes I've come across so far - addition of multi-user profiles, new colors and other aspects of the UI etc.

Happy trails ......

I just successfully did the upgrade on my 2021 SX. I was kinda shocked that all my Nav locations from previous trips were wiped out and, as someone else mentioned, all my radio presets were gone so I have to start all over with that. The radio looks kinda cool, but navigating it will take some getting used to.

WORD OF CAUTION: Before I took my Lexar Thumb Drive out, I made the mistake of closing the lid to the USB/Charging area - MISTAKE!! When I tried to open the lid again by pushing down, it would not open - there is some sort of ridge on the underside of that door that was snaggign the thumb drive. So....take the thumb drive out before you try to close that door! I finally got it unstuck but it was a chore!

Just to be sure and to see if Kia recommends it I sent an email to customer support to ask if we can apply the update to the 2021, I'll let you know if they respond.
i have a 2021 and i installed the 2020 update in August on mine.works great!!

This is what the radio looks like now? Looks like a shitty winamp skin from the 90s. Do you have to use this UI or can you stick with the current style?

I'm going to hold off on account of how terrible it looks. Hope we can confirm it's "this way or the highway" or if we can revert it.

OK So I have played with the update for a little bit. Heres a short quick list

Positives
1) Bluetooth audio now shows album art!
2) Weather forecast and current conditions now work without Uvo subscription (would only show cars current temp with v14 update)
3) Maps are seem to be a bit more updated and navigation audio plays over radio better.

Negative's
1) (Preference) Not a huge fan of the night mode interface and Radio screen after playing with it- I liked the bigger Sirius logos.
2) All radio + nav presets were erased with update
3) Radio presets still have to go in numerical order (this was introduced with v 14- I even complained to kia about it). Previous versions gave us the option of us changing the order OR numerical

I have to admit the new home screen with the subtle navigation map blended into the background looks kind of cool to me. And if they added weather forecast without Uvo then that's really cool. It's one of the things I was thinking would be a bummer to lose when Uvo expires (I have a 2021, so remote start isn't a problem). The radio screen and overall purple "flair" is hard for me to like though. Now that they have profiles, it would be nice if they introduced a concept of UI themes. Just a few pre-packaged themes that would appeal to different groups of people. I agree with whoever mentioned that the radio screen reminded them of Winamp from 20 years ago.

Updating mine today. Not sure why, the update is ugly and looks like the Seltos' screen. Im a sheep I guess

That would be perfect! Different themes with different color options and different radio interface options.

#2 on the negative list REALLY sucks! I spent a good deal of time setting all my presets and selecting stations on XM to "skip" when scanning - now I have to start all over again - UGH!! Poor design!

What would be the best way to tell Kia about requested changed in future version? (e.g., someone mentioned "themes" and ability to rearrange radio stations so not all just in numerical order).

yup I know. It was a bummer for me. I didnt have a ton saved tho- probably 15 stations and 4 addresses. Still annoying

Yup, it is nice to have the weather forecast back with this update! My 1 year trial ran up in march and it stunk loosing the weather.
