Went from Troy Missouri to Memphis to visit my son over the weekend so 1st road trip with the new Telluride. 339 miles each way and then used the Telly for running around a few places. I have the SX with prestige. Had the wife and 14 year old granddaughter.
For the positive things I did found the seats to be very comfortable. The HUD was great. Used Kia navigation and the projection onto the HUD was fantastic. On some less then great roads the car handled very well and the ride was also very good. I have been using a 2002 suburban and 2006 GMC 1500 as comparison. The gas mileage was 25.6 on the way down and 27 on the way back. This is by the readout on the dash and only 1000 miles on the clock. I did have a good tail wind on the way back and a fair head wind on the way down. Transmission was flawless and the smart cruse control was great. LKA and LFA took a while to get used to yet i ended up really liking it. Overall found the vehicle to be great and look forward to driving it for a long time to come.
There were a couple of things that were just OK. The seats were a little on the hard side yet yet still supported well and as i said comfortable. The navigation will get you there yet picks some very strange routing. When leaving home to get me to the highway it took some VERY strange routes. Knowing the area i did not follow its directions and went the best way (the way google maps uses). While in Memphis we used Kia maps also and found out there it also did not use the most direct way. Again it got you there yet not the best way. So far that is the only things that i would say are negative. The vehicle is very nice and i am happy with my purchase. Just hoping all of the tech in the car holds up for the long run. I do keep my vehicles for quite some time.
