2021 EX PREMIUM WILL HAVE AMBER RUNNING LIGHTS

Kia.com just updated to the 2021 and the preview of the EX without the Premium package selected is showing Amber DRL and dual LED headlights. Are you sure the Amber DRLs are only with the premium or does it come with all EXs now? I do not want the amber lights...

The LED headlights (and amber DRLs) come only with the premium package on the EX. Note how it also shows 20” wheels for the EX regardless of whether or not you’ve chosen the premium package - they really only come with the premium package, otherwise it’s 18” wheels. The build tool on their website is glitchy at best.

Fast forward to now, I currently own a ‘21 EX and it has single beam headlights with white DRLs and not Amber, unfortunately.

No, only because upgrading would remove the bench seat in the back and with two car seats the captains chairs wouldn’t really suit my needs.

I'm an sx driver and I've driven an ex, everyone deserves to feel safe and have proper safety features the headlights in the ex were not good especially for what Kia is trying to do for this vehicle. I hope they replace everyones ex headlights with sx ones. And we can figure the drl colours out after. We cannot be elitists here or we would drive another brand

Agreed. I had to swap out my halogen bulbs for LEDs soon after getting it. I was surprised that on an EX trim which is the third trim up or second to last didn’t come with them standard.

Yeah but It’s dumb how if I have a regular EX I can’t retrofit the SX beams but if it’s a premium I can. (As of now)

Oh okay. Yea i was just confused because its such an obvious fact that the ex premium and sx can be swapped because it’s literally the same thing. But I guess you’re saying that you wish the ex non premium can have the ability to add the sx lights. Have u upgraded ur halogen to LED yet?

That’s exactly what I meant and yes, I did upgrade but I’m still a bit unsatisfied. It doesn’t solve the amber DRLs that I like and the LEDs I bought are about to get replaced since they aren’t “blanketing” the ground. There are shadows between the beams.

Which LEDs did u get? I got hikaris and I really like them. Got em on sale during prime day for like $40. What ext color did u get? On my GWP i love the white drls
