• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2021 Official Training Material

So it's your interpretation that an SXP/T in Black Copper with Dune can be had with the Blackout? If that's the case then I would wait for a '21.

I think you were looking at the Wolf Gray color. It seems that that color will only be offered with Blackout package on EX or SX trims with Black leather. But, yes, the question remains as to whether the blackout package can be added with other colors/interiors. It appears that it can be ordered as an addition.

Yeah, Luther dealerships in general are shady. Two things about Bloomington Luther Kia, I have several friends who have had a good experience there and they are the largest volume Telluride dealer in the upper Midwest. If they jerk me around then I will explore buying outside MN. It wouldn’t be in their best interest though because of the people I know that might stop buying there.

No issues with my purchase at Luther Bloomington. The going price is MSRP and that is what I paid, no fast ones pulled.

Not sure what the other people are complaining about. Probably want the royal treatment. This is Kia, not BMW.

Thanks! So far the salesperson has been straight with me. One of my friends took delivery of a Telluride recently from them and it went well.

Big Shout out to @yonkster11 to bringing this update to our attention.

Here is the lastest and greatest from Kia on the 2021’s!

Thanks as always!
And Here We Go!!View attachment 7501
Thanks Stephen. I'm truly bummed that because I bought a first year model I'll have to pay for a tow package 7-pin upgrade.
And I'm truly PISSED that Kia expects first year owners to PAY hundreds of dollars for their doesn't-work-very-well UVO if we want remote start. So I'm screwed because there's zero chance in Hades I'll pay for it.
This is especially aggravating because it's ALL OF US first year owners who have given Kia TONS of great information which led to their 2021 upgrades / changes.
If you get a chance, please tell the Kia Mothership bosses that everyone here on this forum will be even stronger and longer Kia fans if Kia does right by us and fixes a few of these things for free...
Cost to Kia - MINISCULE.
Value to Kia - PRICELESS.

This is the risk with being an early adopter of any purchase. Just about every first year vehicle has changes in the second year. And then when the companies doe a mid cycle refresh - more changes are added. Ironically - we didn't want a 1st year Telluride for this reason - but put an order in for one in January because my wife's 2011 Odyssey is getting up there in years/miles. Then with COVID-19 and other off the charts demand - we ended up getting pushed to a 2021 model year. For this reason - I am happy to wait. But I know as soon as I take delivery - details will start to leak about the mid cycle refresh - which will probably include the one item I wanted more than anything on the 2021 Prestige trim....the all digital dash from the Palisade. Oh well.

Guys at this point I have been told that my car EtA is 6/7 the first ETA date waiting transit was mid May. I ordered in Dec of 19 and it has been 5 months long wait. I am sure covid added to that time.

I am almost tempted to drive to Georgia and pick up my car from the factory as they just cannot find trucks to bring it down to the dealer.

As far all the 2021 features I will miss at this point I just have to live with it. Now we ordered black copper with Dune as wife did not like the grey or black interior. That limited us to few exterior colors.

What I will be bummed about is if the Wolfe grey turns out to be a killer color. As of now not a fan of Gravity Grey or Everlasting Silver the closest color to Grey in 2020 colors.

They told me I would hear nothing for months and they would call me when they had info. That’s what they did. Trust the process.

I doubt they would allow you to pick up car at factory. Never heard of that for Kia.

Excited about the 2021 Wolf Grey!!

Yes - yours will be a 2021. KIA is no longer accepting orders for the 2020...haven't for a couple of months.

Got to give KIA a lot of credit here. With a car that is essentially sold out, with more orders than they can fill, it would be SO EASY to not change a thing. Instead they made small, incremental, but meaningful improvements in the car. Well done KIA!

Yea its fair to say the UVO remote start experiment on the Telluride was not a success for KIA. Lol Good to see they responded to it

They should have put LED lights on all trims, especially since their safety scores got dinged for it.

Ice freezes to the LEDs. Not so great for those of us in cold weather states... just saying they aren’t perfect.
Interesting, but what I really mean is better lighting so you see the road. I really don’t care how they do it...just make it happen.

They did make it available on the EX-P for 2021 but agreed, safety features shouldnt be bundled with a convenience package. Im sure in model years to come it will be remedied but overall the first model year Telluride is an achievement
