2021 Telluride EX

Hi,

I purchased a new 2021 Telluride EX FWD Black Copper. I am thrilled with my purchase overall.
After only having the vehicle for 4 days, the driver's side headlight went out. Kia said it's an issue with the headlight assembly not a bulb and they are holding it for 3 weeks until the backordered part arrives.
They did give me a Nissan Altima loaner but, it's sad to buy a new fairly pricey vehicle and not be able to enjoy it.
I was told this is an issue with this model. Has anyone had a similar issue with their Telluride?
BTW, I love the black copper color!

Glad to hear they are taking actions to replace the part.

Too bad you can't just drive around for three weeks with one headlight. I see cars with only one working headlamp on the road all the time.

I am sure you are not recommending anyone to drive with one headlamp ... Kidding aside, driving with only one headlamp is extremely dangerous at night, as upcoming drivers might confuse you with a motorcycle and not see the width of your vehicle.

As dangerous as it may be. It happens. Just stating facts.

Hard to mistake a car for a motorcycle too unless you are in a rural area with no street lights.

Believe me, if I thought I would not get pulled for it here in VA, I'd still be driving it. Funny though, I am not really upset about it and my local dealership (Hyman Bros. Kia) have been on top of it and great to work with. I'll just appreciate it more when I do get it back.

Yeah that totally sucks. You should be totally proud of the Telluride that you have not had to wait around for another three weeks for it to get a headlight fixed. I’m sure after they get it fixed you’ll be super happy and can drive it around with pride.
