• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2021 telluride rear entertainment system option?

Just bought a 2021 Telluride with the famed RSE (Rear Seat Entertaiment?) system. I remember Kia had only Android Auto capabilities for a long time until they finally figured out a dual operating system compatibility. Well, looks like they ha e it now in the 2022 (Kia Carnival) that supports both Android and iOS mirroring. We’re an apple family too and not being able to use these with our phones is frustrating.
I hope there is a simple update available down the road. The 2022 User Interface is WAY more clean, intuitive, and has a kids mode which limits access to apps, and makes YouTube only YouTube kids. Kia. We love you, but please help us out here!!!

The carnival system is not the same as the sorento and Telluride.

So does anyone know?
Did some brief testing before removing the screens. The main useful Android feature I could find was the screen mirroring that allows you to cast your screen (from an Android device) to the RSE screen. Couldn't find anything else useful during my brief test.

Thanks for the update.

Has anyone found a way to increase the volume? I have the kids using their headphones and even with the volume maxed out, its quite quiet. Hoping there is a software update but couldnt get it to update.

Just thought I would share an update of what rear entertainment in the Telluride actually looks like! It's not too bad, was expecting worse given that you can't find anything on the internet about them! They are removable and you can tuck the one wire used to connect it into the seat. They operate with an amazon fire stick. Going to pick ours up this afternoon! These Telly's are so hard to come by... we normally wouldn't get rear entertainment but we wanted all the other features this one had and it would have been months of waiting to build out what was already in this one.... Maybe the rear entertainment will be something handy... first time for everything!
Do you think the metal bracket could be removed? Have you tried? I am trying to get mine removed and my dealership doesn’t know much.

Yes, they are pretty easy to remove. The back of the chairs come off easily and then you can remove the whole bracket and tuck the cable inside the back of the chair.

I saw photos of how to do it on a post about KIA Sedona and Carnival but it was the same process on the Telluride. Tried it myself.

Here's a link to the post where I saw the process. Especially the photos of the back of the charis removed where helpful as they showed how they were attached.

The dealer told me it would be 600 to remove. I just got my car today with the entertainment system, so have not had any time to play around with them yet.

If I do remove I will probably attempt to do it myself.

Just take pictures, open a thread and post your thoughts. I’m sure plenty of us on this forum will try to help.
