• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I make monthly payments on a Telluride. I suppose I technically still own one. It was a dream for 4 000 km. Then it stopped working, or more specifically, the traction control, drive modes and safety features all went haywire and stranded us in the snow.

Kia Canada towed it, eventually, someone told me the rear speed sensor was faulty, causing a cascade of failures. His was 2 months ago: no parts available to fix it apparently.

This has become absurd. I’m I seriously the only one?

Do you have a loaner vehicle?

I had my VW Golf at the dealer for months with a leaking sunroof that took them 3 separate replacements to fix properly. I had a direct contact at VW of America who helped coordinate - are you in contact with Kia directly?

Thanks for the perspective. This is our first new vehicle purchase and we waited nearly 6 months for the factory order after tireless research. I suppose I expected that a new vehicle was a good way to avoid dealing with repairs, at least for a while.

I have contacted Kia Canada , which replied, claiming inventory shortages due to pandemic, which I understand is not in their control.

I have asked them to buy it back so we can find an alternative option.

In the states they usually require the same issue to fail to be repaired 3 times before they will buy the car back - I think they should at least get you a loaner that is comparable in size and function - also check your car insurance - for me my car insurance only covered a loaner for 30 days - so I needed to go into the shop every 30 days and issue me new paperwork to restart the clock to make sure I was fully insured on the loaner car.
