• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello all - I'm looking to add the OEM hitch to my 2022 S and noticed two part numbers, once is significantly cheaper but I can't for the life of me figure out what the difference is. Here are the two:

Tow Hitch - Kia (S9F61-AU000) - $287.30

Tow Hitch - Kia (S9F61-AU002) - $359.13

Anyone know what the difference is???

The consensus I've read on this forum is that people suspect one is an older part number perhaps Kia changed the supplier that Kia OEMs. The newer part number AU002 appears to be more readily available today. By function and appearance they appear to be identical. It's possible the measurements fit slightly better with the AU002, but I don't know for certain.

No difference. The 002 was added to support the price increase resulting from all the 2023 buyers trying to do a workaround caused by Kia's harness fiasco. Vultures. I have really lost respect for Kia. I you try to buy a AU000 the vendor will likely decline your order telling you it is not available, and direct you to the AU002 for $70 more. KIA is squeezing add' profit from their harness screwup.

Makes sense, I'm really fed up with this fiasco, what a trainwreck. I'll give the AU000 a shot and see if someone will sell it to me, I'd rather not pay $70 more for the same thing.

If you find one, put your order in and then let us know.
