2022 Pictures?

Hi. I ordered a '21 on April 19, 2021. My sales person called me last Wednesday to let me know I was getting a 2022 and ETA is June 24. Confirmed the VIN on failcat and Steve confirmed the ETA date. Ordered a Prestige NF Ebony Black. That's why I'm so disappointed by the chrome logo. LOLOL, I had already reserved a my license tag to say BLCKASFK....And it was APPROVED! I know...I'm juvenile. My husband says I need to grow up.

I ordered April 4th and still haven’t heard from my dealer. Id happily trade with you . That satin chrome logo is gonna pop with the rest of that black haha

I certainly can understand the frustration that people ordered something and are now going to be getting something different than what they expected.

That said, the NF package really is defined by Kia. They don't specifically call it the blackout package. Really, they're not promising a total blackout, it's Nightfall. There's still some light at nightfall. The trim isn't black, it's darkened, etc.

I remember Explorer sports getting blackout accents but still had brushed aluminum wheels. They gave themselves some wiggle room. Now, if you're going to call it the Black Edition like they do on the Pilot, you'd better bring the black.

Having said all that, I do not like the tailgate design with the changes. I can stomach the new logo on the front. The new logo definitely fits better with the design aesthetics of the new models like Sorento and K5 imo. Telly doesn't have the body to pull off that style of logo. Of course, I don't think it has the body to pull off wolf gray either. But that's just my opinion.

If they’re going to change from status quo, they need to update their info!
I’m not calling you out, but the bright logo is definitely not part of this description.

That logo is hideous. Like it stands out wayyyyy too much, especially for the nightfall edition. Kia smoking thats good stuff. Like others have said, doesn't fit the design at all. I liked the logo off the vehicles, on them it just looks like scribble and a lazy design.

I kinda like the new kia font....I just can't stand how they implemented it on the outside of the vehicle. I was slightly disappointed whe. I found out I was getting a 21 instead of a 22...but no longer! The rear is really that bad.....especially the nightfall edition.

I’ve got an SX-P GWP NFE in the factory in Georgia right now so I played around with another photo and found there is hope for me for at least the rear badge on my 2022 blackout. (Smile)

This also shows how much smaller the letters on the rear are on the '22's compared to the '21s. The old lettering looks much better to me, although i've got an order in for what will be a '22. . . hoping they can "fix" these issues before mine comes off the line.

They also removed the SX V6 emblems and the rest of the lower right side emblems. Think about all the ’20 and ‘21 owners that might find their’s missing in a parking lot now because of a new hip design. Especially the NFE emblems . Glad mines being birthed without one. Never have to check the rear end to see if it’s still there.

I'm totally fine with the other emblems being removed now - saves me the hassle of removing them after I take possession. . .

I bet the 20 - 21 Tailgate lettering becomes a big seller through the parts websites, with people removing / replacing with new small letters with the ones that should be there. . .

Yeah Kia designers messed up the back. The KIA logo definitely is more prominent in size than it should be and the telluride is smaller than it should be. The front doesn’t bother me as much but all the logos should be blacked out. I’ll fix that later. This still has me excited anyhow. The rest of the blacked out trim still looks dope.

Excited for mine, but definitely going to black out those logos. Wouldn't mind getting the top wrapped in black as well. Anyone know a good place for window tints and wraps in the Atlanta area?

I kind of like the new badging on the lighter colors with NFE. I get the hate for it on Ebony Black NFE, but I'm looking forward to my GWP SX-P w/ NFE. I think it looks fine.

So…..I just got a call from my local dealer and he said that my new car will be in on June 18. He swears it’s a 2022. I didn’t think the Kia ordering system was open yet nor could they possibly build one that quickly. Seems odd to me. I’ll keep you guys posted on what happens. I bet that...

Not a big fan of the rebranded logo like a lot of you, but the logo doesn't look too bad on Wolf Gray. Still plan on blacking mine out when it comes, but these pics are making me more excited!
