2022 Pictures?

Did he miss the leg support extension on the driver side seat or no longer existed? The SX should have that.

The rear badge is the same as the front badge. They are both a brushed stainless steel look.
Are they the same? To me the rear badge looks much flatter, the front looks more three dimensional.

Assuming you’re referring to the video in this post, the SX most certainly has that feature (still). You can clearly see the control for it in the video.

Thanks to Michelle Tesori in the facepoop group "Kia Telluride Owners" here's the rear logo that's been blacked out with HyperDip:

Here’s my video of how to actually perform the job. I’ll put up a video of the front emblem as well.
How durable is plastidip? If it gets rubbed or scraped, would it peel right off of the emblem? Looks easy enough to re-do it, but with the emblem itself was made black

That was Awsome. You did a great job, can't wait to see the front. I'll be doing that on my ESP NF AWD!!!

I’m wondering the same. Is plastic dip very durable?
I’m hoping someone makes a black chrome version to match the lettering. I’d be cool with a black chrome stylized “K” emblem also. Hopefully something comes on the market soon.

Plasti dip should last a few years. You have to do a lot of layers though. 3-4 layers of the color you want and a couple of layers of the glossifier. Watch some videos on youtube.

Nice job with the plasti-dip and thanks for the share. You're right, it should come from the factory like that on Nightfall. They saved themselves a few pennies per car laving them brushed metal and now everyone who wants it black (probably most nightfall buyers) has to spend $15 and a couple hours of their time. Thanks KIA! 🤦‍♂️

Seems like the best solution, although not cheap, would be to purchase a new logo then have it anodized to match the finish of the Telluride logo beneath it.

Well…. I was thinking of taking off the front logo and either applying gunkote or cerakote. It would last forever and if someone wanted a different color, the could easily do so as there are literally hundreds of colors. Bit of a job to do, you have to media blast the coating and then bake it on but it will last forever. I’ve done a couple of guns and they have turned out great. If I can get my hands on a spare emblem or if the plastidip doesn’t hold up well, I’ll give it a try.

So I did a video of plastidiping the emblem on my other car and it has held up well. It’s been about 8 months so far and it still looks great. It is on the back of the car so it wont experience as much wear as the front does. We shall see. I’ve also got an idea of applying gunkote or cerakote to the emblem. Those coating are very durable. Almost bulletproof. Pun intended.

Yes I agree that the K logo looks so much better but, on the 2022 the front grill is shaped like the new Kia logo instead of an oval shape like the 2021 and older. So as far as I can see, swapping out logos is not really possible on the 2022. You will have to paint the emblem if you want to change it’s look.

@abbergirl1 thanks for posting the how-to’s! I’m waiting on a GWP NF and plan to do the same. Might leave the front alone though. I think on a white telly the new logo looks cool “as is” on the black grill 😎

Looks great! Can you post some pics of it from a distance. Want to see the finished product from different angles.
