If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2022 Pictures?

Yeas I agree that the new logo is a bit overpowering. I agree that the tea would look better without it being there.

Someone mentioned on the Facebook group that the new Kia logo looks like the Nine Inch Nails logo…

I like it better now…

That's about as subtle of a mid model refresh as they come. Hey, if it works........

Just read this entire thread and still haven't seen any pictures of the de-badged 2022 anywhere on the forum or the interwebs. I've seen plenty of plati-dipped and 2021 removals, but no 2022 yet. Has anyone done it? I'm particularly interested in seeing what the front grill looks like without any badge.

This detail might give you a better idea of why you haven’t seen it without a badge.
 Wow. Yes. That totally explains it. I get it now. Shucks. Thank you!

The plastidips I’ve seen look pretty good! I actually like the new design though, so I’ll be leaving it 😁

While I haven't seen a 2022 in person yet, the front badge appears to be molded into the grill. I don't think there is any clean way possible to remove the grill badging. Blacking out to blend in to the grill color seems to be the best way to camouflage it. But I could be wrong

You're exactly right. Based on the photo above from @tellmont, that appears to be the reason. Originally, I thought it was just 3M taped on like the old oval logo.

I did get my eraser wheel and some goo gone today, along with some floss. I'm very tempted to remove the rear badge but now that it's blacked out, I hardly notice it. What to do?

Definitely blacking that out. Going to use glossy black film and blow dry it on there. Did that with my BMW B6 Alpina. That was a little tough with curves and dips. This is just flat so should be pretty easy.

Unpopular opinion:

Everyone wants to black out the front which was my initial thought but now I think it doesn’t really work because there is no oval to provide an outline. Because of that, there’s nothing to cleanly draw your eye to the center of the grill making it look odd as if something is missing yet at the same time trying to grab your eye but you can’t see it too well. I’m thinking I’ll leave the front as-is since it actually doesn’t look too bad IMO.

As for the back, the main problem is the size of the emblem. On a nightfall, if you make the Kia emblem black, I almost think that makes it clash with the black Telluride font even more because of the direct competition between two black emblems. Again I think this would’ve been solved having the new logo on an oval because your eye gets drawn differently to standalone characters vs an oval so competition for attention isn’t on the same wavelength so-to-speak. I’m also noticing that leaving the back as-is, while I don’t love it at all, at least somewhat syncs up the color between the exhaust tips and Kia emblem. However I hope someone comes out with the new Kia logo blacked out on an oval for the back so I could replace the silver logo and black out the exhaust tips.

Or if it doesn’t grow on me, there’s always the option of removing the Kia emblem altogether and replacing the Telluride with the bigger version from 2021 and centering that further up as I’ve seen done on here. Will be interesting to see what other solutions people come up with.
