• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Bought a new 24 Telluride SX. That rectangle silver front bumper piece is really bothering me...
What are my options? Might have my body shop paint it to match the car? Wonder what cost would be?
Is wrapping it an option? Might be cheaper..... Thoughts?? Any Experiences.....
Thanks.kia.webp

I looked into having my 2023 X-Line bumpers and other silver trim peices painted the same color as the window trim, it was something rediculous like $5k, they don't bother me that bad...lots of folks went the wrap route, I think that's between $1,000-$2,000

I'd be curious what those parts from a 2024 X series would cost, it's just alot of taking plastic pieces apart and put back to gether...

At least for the front, its a pretty easy fix with some masking tape, a can of black paint and some clear coat. If your unfamiliar with doing this, I understand but its not hard. If there is an easy way to get it off to paint, even better.

I’m just curious what this front silver rectangle would cost to paint to match the vehicle? Like at a body shop.
If it is ridiculous in cost, my next option is to purchase a Hyperdip spray kit (gloss piano black color), tape off the area around the silver rectangle, and go to town spraying it. Others have used Hyperdip on the front with great results. Cost = $110….

Paint will be the priciest, but prices vary shop to shop so call around and ask for best deals. Wrap will be cheaper and achieve same effect. Again prices vary per shop, call around and ask for deals. Both will work

I’m going with painting the front silver rectangle AND painting the silver portion of the rear bumper. Got a quote from my neighborhood body shop: $675 total for both pieces; labor, materials, and taxes all included. Got the appointment next week.

My wife black satin vinyl wrapped our 23 SX Prestige and came out awesome. i think she invested a total of $100 and of course her time. she left the KIA badge silver and looks great.

That’s a pretty good deal. Be sure to post the results!
