2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Also, would jungle green with sage green interior be green overkill? I want a light color interior.
The Sage Green interior color barely looks green. It's also quite light. I saw a Raiti's Rides review of a Kia with a Sage Green interior, and Joe described the color as gray.

Not at all. Like Raiti's Rides said on YouTube, it's a grayish light green. I think it would be an awesome earthy tone with the jungle green exterior.

You obviously have driven much recently. Most new cars have rear DRLs

Pretty sure I was following a telluride with them just yesterday which made me think it was an option

Will have to scratch that off my list too then
I am out driving pretty much every day, and I am much more observant than the average person. Most new cars do not have rear DRLs. You really think the majority of new cars are driving around with their rear lights illuminated all the time?

Apparently you maybe don’t even know what you’re looking at or looking for if you thought you were following a Telluride with them (they don’t have them) or thought the new Palisade has them (it doesn’t).

It does seem a little dramatic, though, to say you’re not going to buy a car because you want the rear lights to be on all the time. If you want the rear lights to be on all the time, turn on your headlights. Problem solved. That’s a pretty simple solution.

I really would like to see the mahogany interior color! We had espresso on order with our intended 2022 SX trim

Uh, the Palisade doesn’t have rear DRLs, either. Same with pretty much any other car on the market. If you want any rear lights on, turn on your headlights.
Palisade does afteral it seems, at least the Calligraphy.

Kia deffo missed a trick here, esp as the back lights are so cool

They're pretty much to be expected on any $50,000+ 3 row SUV in this day and age, heck even my 2015 Murano had them! Its pretty standard now, the interesting thing is why Kia dont seem to do it in the US? They obv do in places where its mandated, hard to imagine its a cost saving, given they have the LEDs there

Edit - Having spent 10 mins grabbing all those pics went out to pick up my kids and there were deffo some cars that I would expect to have them that didn't🤣...A new looking Acura Saloon and a BMW saloon which was surprising as I think theyre mandated in most of Europe
...maybe I can just lash the headlights on

Take this with a grain of salt, but my dealer just pinged me on what I want for a 2023 and said they are hoping ordering opens by the end of the week. Said he has nothing "official" though.

Like I said previously, the Palisade does not have any rear daytime running lights.

I’m not sure what’s throwing you off, but the rear lights on the Palisade are only on when the headlights are on. When the front DRL is on, nothing is lit up in the rear.

The 2023 Palisade does have that reflector strip across the lower bumper, but that of course does not light up ever. And the Calligraphy does have fancy accents around the taillights, but again those do not light up unless the headlights are on.

Remember that $50,000 is basically the average new car transaction these days. It is not an expensive car.

I’m pretty sure that all or most of these pictures you linked are just ones of car sitting in daylight or twilight with the headlights on. It’s obvious for the Palisade picture you linked; you can see the license plate lights.

Same thing with the Pathfinder: Look at page 2-83. It says “when the LED DRL system is active, tail lights on your vehicle are not on. It is necessary at dusk to turn on your headlights.

If you get a Telluride and want your rear lights to be on persistently, just leave your headlight switch permanently set to “on.” They turn off when you turn the car off, even if they’re set to on. So you can just always have the headlights and taillights on all the time and never have to think about anything.

Where are you located? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen all of those cars but the light signature was at night. I’m gonna pay more attention now.

None of those cars have “rear DRLs”. You will only see those lights when they brake or have their headlights on.

Those are rear tail lights (normally turned on when the headlamps are on), not to be confused with front DRLs.

So no Syntex on the xline huh? I hate taking care of leather especially with children. 😭

Also, would jungle green with sage green interior be green overkill? I want a light color interior.
The leaked guide says:
X Line: Black leather or Terracotta leather is available with all 9 exterior colors and Sage Green leather is available with Glacial White Pearl, Ebony Black, or Jungle Green only.
X Pro: Black nappa leather or Terracotta nappa leather is available with all 9 exterior colors and Sage Green nappa leather is available with Glacial White Pearl, Ebony Black, or Jungle Green only.
Wolf Gray & Jungle Green exteriors are only available on X Line & X Pro.
Terracotta & Sage Green interiors are only available on X Line & X Pro.
Since the only interior choices with X Line & X Pro are black, terracotta, or sage green, the sage green would be the lightest of the three. Not green overkill in my opinion. With kids, I would imagine X Line with leather would wear better than X Pro with nappa leather.

So other than the roof rails and the wheels, what do I get for the xline model?
Stitching on the seats, .5 inch increased clearance, blacked out chrome like the NF. It’s basically the NF package.

What’s mahogany look like? That’s probably what I’m ending up on the EX.

Saw a video of what looks to be an sx wolf grey with out xline/pro. I hope this is wrong. But the my23 booklet indicates that this could be accurate. Pissed it appears they are getting rid of the black copper. That blue is hideous and the new red is just not right either based on the dawning red on the new soortage.

That's an SX, possibly prestige. You can tell from the wheels

It isn't a prestige according to the interior shots in the video as the leather seats do not have the prestige stiching. Could be that color combo is only available is certain countries as this was filmed in Korea.
