• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

The tow package is the same as always: a tow hitch and harness plus the self-leveling suspension. It can be added to regular EX or SX/SX-P trims once available.

The X-Line and X-Pro come with self-leveling suspension and a tow mode function. They don’t have the tow package. If they did, they’d have a hitch.

Any X-Line/X-Pro (or other trim) would need to have the tow hitch/harness optioned/installed.
In my opinion for the price of the X-Line and the X-Pro I think Kia could have included the hitch and harness with the self leveling suspension feature. I'm sure I'm not the only one that assumed that feature included everything. I know one should never assume!

We ordered an EX last February and are going to update our order tomorrow.

Our salesperson said if we changed our order from an EX to an SX we would lose our place 'in line' and would have to start waiting all over again. Is that correct/a Kia thing? Or maybe a dealership thing?
I changed my order from a SX-Prestige NF to a SX-P X-Pro and kept my same place in line. I don't think it would be fair to have to start at the back of the line. It's not right that your dealership is trying to do this! I would be requesting a talk with the GM.

Do you know, for sure, that's not a Kia requirement? I don't want to fight with the dealership if it's not their fault.

I only know when my dealership called me to update my 22 over to a 23 and I changed to a different trim I kept my same place in line since my 22 never actually got pulled and built.

I was told it would be caused by changing trim level (i.e. EX to SX), not a change of options.

Go
I think that is the faux suede headliner you get if you upgrade to the Prestige package. Non-Prestige X-Line and X-Pro gets you a black headliner
Gotcha. We put an order in for an SXP X-line and wanted the gray headliner.

I honestly don't know why it matters if you change trims since your order wasn't entered in for MY23 yet. Not at my dealership. I went from SX-P to a SXP X-PRO.

But you stayed at the SX trim level.

Maybe @StephenCantrelle knows...?

The photos on the '23 KIA preview page show the X-Line in Terracotta with a gray headliner. Hoping that's the case.
All X-Line and X-Pro interior colors (black, terracotta, and sage) have been confirmed to have a dark headliner.

One interesting tidbit from the video I hadn’t seen yet is the new key for 2023. I somehow missed that when I was perusing the new manual over the last week.

Although he did have some incorrect statements in areas I actually listened to, including tow mode. He made it seem like it’s on everything (it isn’t, it’s only for X-Line and X-Pro). And he made it seem like all the cars have extra capacity, but it’s only X-Pros that do.

Any X-Line will have a dark gray headliner.

Sorry, I don’t know anything about ordering or dealer processes. All the things I know are gathered from the information available (by whatever method) and keen observations of cars that are out there.

Yeah this X-Pro grill sure looks silver to me. Definitely not the "new Nightfall". I guess maybe this silver grill is a tiny bit darker than the lower trims? Definitely not as dark as as what was shared earlier for X-Pro:

None of the real world X-Pro pictures I’ve seen have shown the darker grill trim. The X-Pro isn’t the new NF. The X-Line is supposed to take that role.

Has this been confirmed? I know there are a handful of us that were told the hitch is included in the tow package from our dealerships.
I thought that hitch and harness are not yet available but that the X-Line/X-Pro orders would get it dealer installed at a later point.

I'm interested to see if the single pane cluster brings with it problems with reflection and visibility. On one of the new '23 videos, it appeared to be highly reflective, but this could have just been the close camera angle.

If they already entered the order, then it’s a Kia thing. A change to a “finalized” order is considered a different order.

That’s different since it’sa model year turnover.

I just finally got my order placed last night and my dealer finished the conversation with this exact warning. FYI this is not an order but a request. They aren’t building to suit you. They build what they want and you get whatever is closest to your request but it could have more or less “port added” options. Meaning additional costs you’re not aware of. I’m gonna be really mad if they add second row entertainment and I’ve gotta pay up or go to the back of the line 🙄

That’s my understanding too and i hope any accessories are minimum. The rear entertainment addition is the worst one. I could live with the cargo net or wheel locks

So, when exactly will we find out what additions there might be? Not until the dealer gets the sticker? I have more than one dealer offering to 'order' a Telluride for me (some with no deposit even). I don't want to be greedy, but I also don't want to go to the end of the list if the vehicle that ends up getting assigned to me has a bunch of extra add ons.

I don’t think it’s a Kia requirement at all. Kia doesn’t know or doesn’t care the order the 2023s are entered. They probably would put you in the end of the line of the SX and that’s how you would lose your spot. They are given their allocations based on the trim levels.
