• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Purchased a 2024 Telluride SX AWD in January 2024. Had problems with many of the safety features immediately on leaving dealership and had to return car to have a Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) replaced which involved leaving the new car and a dealer supplied loaner. After this start, we drove car until 3,015 miles and returned to dealership on 4/1/2024 for what we thought was an oil change. We were informed car was subject to recall SC296 and had to have the engine replaced. Dealer furnished a Hertz KIA Carnival as loaner. Car remained at dealer until called 5/2/2024 and we picked it up. Since the car was out of service over 15 days I have sent certified notice to dealership, KIA, and BBB under Mississippi lemon law requesting a buy back.

Driving the car to Jackson, Mississippi on I55 this weekend, a small crack appeared on the left bottom driver side windshield starting at the pillar and extending out horizontally about 4 inches and about 6 inches above the dash, directly in drivers line of sight. We never saw anything or heard anything but it extended out with a small peck about an inch from the pillar. By the time we got to Jackson it extended about 12 inches across and returning home it extended out about 18 inches.

My question is has anyone had KIA do anything under warranty about these windshields. Since the lemon law process is apparently moving very slowly, should I repair the windshield or leave it for a buy back deal?
