• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2024 Telluride has developed a knocking noise with only 5800 miles. oil was changed by the dealer at 5000 miles. First thought it was a nail in a tire as the knock got faster as I accelerated, ruled that out as the tires are fine. Reving the engine in neutral does not make the noise. Going 5mph the noise is constant. Putting the car in neutral or just taking my food off the accelerator the noise is there for just a little while and the quits, start accelerating and the noise is there. Noise does not quit at higher speeds just gets faster.
Anyone have any idea? Will be contacting the dealer Friday.

My '22 Telluride developed a valve knocking noise a few months ago as well, wonder if it's the same. My retired mechanic dad got in the car last week and immediately noticed it as well. Low speeds, it's more obvious. It goes away above 30 mph but is very obvious at low RPMs and especially in lower gears. I'm going to the dealer for Nightfall trim replacement next week and will ask them to listen.

Could be a few things. Maybe a wheel bearing going bad, or a CV joint if its AWD. Could also be something stuck in the brakes or suspension parts like bushings or stabilizer links. Sometimes debris gets in the tire or wheel even if there’s no nail. If the noise changes with speed, could even be a driveshaft or transmission issue. Best to document it, maybe record the sound, and take it to the dealer since its still under warranty.

Took it to the shop today and could not get it to make the noise while I was there. When it starts again I will go straight to the dealer.
