• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I was debating to upgrade my 2022 SX with a new 2023 SX Prestige. I don’t won’t to loose any features I currently have, love them all. From what I understand- it’s just a slight body style change and that’s it. What does X-line give you? More towing? I don’t tow. Thinking I could get a pretty penny for mine w 26k miles in it. Would you upgrade???

I dont think you could get a premium for your 22 vehicle. Official Towing hitches are not available for 23. I dont think it would make financial sense unless it is a corporate write off (business expense).

I own 2022 wolf gray SX prestige nightfall with a dune brown interior.
I love the contrasting black trim/lettering with the gray paint which the 2023 doesn’t have.
I like the dune brown better than the 2023 seating color options.
As I check out the 2023 models as they arrive at a local dealership, there isn’t one I trade even up for my 2022.
I’m sticking with the 2022 until a hybrid model nightfall edition arrives. Then I might consider trading up for a newer model.
Just my two cents. Good luck with your decision.

I have dune brown also. I can’t argue w/ anything you said above.

I paid 52k-in June of 21. Carvana offered me 43k.

It is hard to do a trade when you have to wait 8 months for the vehicle to arrive. That is how long it took for our order which we picked up this month.

The 23's do have a bigger center display and the front lights are different. Seats also look different in the pattern. The front lights i guess are up to the individual as some like them and some others do not. Also have to decide if starting over on a loan is worth it.

If you can upgrade for under 2k, I'd do it. The market didn't stay crazy enough to for me to upgrade so I stuck with the '22 sx-prestige we have. I would love to have the new features of the '23 but it's not worth it to me to spend too much to get it.

I would not upgrade. I think people are crazy to buy a new vehicle and a year later trading that in for another new one. But that’s just me. And not my money do as you please.
I don't get people trading in 1-3 year old cars that they paid down the loan and start a new one for more money to get the same car. For a different dash and headlights? No wonder the dealers don't have good inventory and are still able to mark up. SMH

There are always extenuating circumstances to consider. I think I'm a good example of that. I'm probably one of the oldest folks on here. As I am now 80, my new Telluride on order (a '24?) may end up being the last vehicle I buy. A year ago, I really wanted a Telly but they were not to be found for up to a year or even more. So, I settled on a '22 Sorento. It is a good car, top of the line, but still lacks more than just a few features of the Telluride.

Yes I am going to take a big hit in the wallet, but this is what I want.

Sloop John, make sure you get the Telluride model with the self-driving features. I'm not sure if they come on all models or top of the line. I didn't realize they came on our '23 X-Pro and they make driving long trips a breeze. The "lane following" feature steers you in the center of the lane. With cruise control on it self-drives from highway speeds all the way down to stop and go traffic. You just need to put your hand on the wheel periodically. When on a metered (surveyed) highway, touch the blinker and it will change lanes while showing you a radar model of all the traffic around your vehicle, even in the heads-up display. I can now drive all day without the fatigue I used to. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to it and come to trust it. I'm a decade behind you.

Thanks. I am very familiar with the self-driving features as I have almost all of them on the '22 Sorento. The only one it doesn't have is the auto-lane changing feature and HUD, but they are coming on my new SX-P, X-Line. To tell you the truth, I am SO comfortable with the self-driving features that I don't think I could ever go back. They cut out much of the stress of driving in traffic, or like you said, just in long trips. The HUD is so impressive it blows my mind. I have been really PO'd that KIA still has not opted to put that feature on the Sorento.

If you have the top of the line Telluride, what real significant changes are there from 20-23? If you got a car that wasn't your first choice, sure I guess. But selling one just for a few minor changes, gee not sure

I think you mean Sorento.

No, this was in response to the first post of the thread.

I think you should go for it! Get what you want! At 80 you deserve it!
