• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just received my '23 SXP X-Pro. Is it possible to get the rear view camera to show while in drive? (I like to have it on while pulling into garage)

you want the rear camera on when moving forward?

Yes. I seem to only find the front, sides, and 360 which doesn’t show clear enough the area behind me. My Audi can pop up the rear camera while moving forward to show when I am in the garage just enough.

I have a 2022 and think the only way to get the rear camera to turn on is to stop an put it in reverse......

I hang a tennis ball from the garage ceiling an when it touches the windshield I know its in the correct spot.

See if when you are infront of the garage, hit the camera view button next to the AWD selector knob and see if it turns on the camera. Then slowly drive in. I think if you are going very slow (not sure specifically what speed, but lets say 15 mph or less), then the cameras will stay on.

I think I've done that while pulling into a parking spot.

yes my camera works that way, I want a certain clearance from the wall and the tennis ball is more accurate than I can be with the camera.

The 360 view works well for this. With the overhead view, you can see when the rear of your vehicle has cleared the garage door. I use this as well when parking in lined spaces. If you can pull through or back in, you can see the line behind the car and stop just where you need to be in addition to seeing you are straight and centered. Also consider that the digital rear view mirror shows the view from the rear camera any time, even cruising at 70mph on the Interstate.

Hit the camera button in your center stack. Lower right button. It will launch your camera system. We frequently do it while parking in the garage and in lots. Great feature.

The 360 view seems to work up to 9mph. After that it turns off. This is on my 2022 SX-P

No matter what, cars with the 360° system will not be able to show the rear camera unless they’re in reverse. Once you shift into drive, it goes to the front view(s). All you can see behind you when in drive is what is stitched in on the 360° view.
