3 Tellurides avaliable NOW! July 20th Update - 1 in 5 KIA dealers NATIONWIDE JD Power 2020 Dealer of Excellence Award

“Disclaimer: I am originally from Los Angeles, California. WE DO NOT and cannot process this for California customers unless the car is NOT registered/taxed in the state of California. If you have a second home not in the state of California then that works.”

Why? How are Muncie and other Texas dealers doing it?

I don't believe that Corinth has an in person requirement to commit to buy. I handled it all over the phone... call him up.
For some reason or another he put in the main description that you have to do in person.
I don’t know why he can’t do Cali either. I’m curious to know his response as I’m doing several Cali orders. I have one that just got here today and goes out next week after paperwork is done..

I’m literally up the street 20 min

I see all that now in the original Dec 13 post - (all that wasn't in today's post). Must be a dealership owner requirement - maybe they are worried about CA lemon law or other CA legal issues. Because, yes, the vehicle should be CARB compliant. Well, more business for you then! You had some good inventory a few weeks ago.

Yeah, that in person requirement doesn't make sense if person is paying for delivery also.

Where are you located I have a few Ss coming in January?[

I'd buy the "S" model, but don't have time to get on a plane to Dallas... Why the in-person requirement?

I'm in Arizona and willing to pay shipping. I just don't have the time to fly to a random dealership. Also, if I have to pay for travel, and pay for shipping, then it almost makes sense to just pay over MSRP here.

@ben48 I literally have you in my guest sheets. I’m hoping to get allocated a S on Monday that will fit what you want. We just turned 7 SX/SXP this week as well as 3 S models and 4 EX. I’m thinking I’m about to get a huge allocation

Yes, that's a valid point. There are always costs involved. Just have to decide what you want to pay for. If you choose to pay over MSRP with your dealer, just negotiate some quid pro quo - ask for accessories or something like tinting, clear wrap, or ceramic coat.

A drive from Dallas to AZ could be fun... the in person requirement is only one option for delivery. It can also be shipped and you don't have to travel. It shouldn't be on the out of state dealer to deliver car for free. I looked into third party delivery services - around $800.

Thank you!

To clarify, I'm more than willing to pay for 3rd party shipping. It's the in-person requirement that is difficult. I'm just too busy with work and little kids to do something like that. Plus it's at least another $750 in travel/gas/hotels/etc for in-person.

I'm looking to sign everything electronically or via FedEx and pay for the car to be shipped here.

Our dealer simply won’t do it.

I handle many order out of town and out of state by phone. I reserved two today.

The final transaction has to be in person (signing finance paperwork and such).

What are you looking for ?

The final transaction at our dealer is a requirement by finance. We have to meet the client in person for delivery of the vehicle. Huffines has been family owned since 1924 and we comply with every state law regulations.

Orders and reservations can be made by text or by calling me. I finished two today and fixing to reserve another one out in Austin.

We can ship the car however we still have to meet the client

That is correct .. regarding California. The car has to be compliant to meet California standards and laws

Dealer policy. If I could, I would.

Question have you checked to see if the Telluride is a 50 state emissions complaint or 49 state.

only reason I ask is I just did research and the Stinger GT2 V6 is 50 state emission so I would lean to the side that Kia did the same for the Telluride.

Either way I will confirm on Monday morning. But curious if you looked at the label?

registration is easy as the dealer would send the funds to the local DMV of the buyer to handle TT&L(registration included) when I called for my Cali client they acted like it was normal for a dealer in TX to handle.

Yea I’ve gotten with my managers and finance and I threw a big question mark. I feel like going to them Monday to see if they can explain it or if it’s straight up dealer policy by corporate.

I bought a Hyundai Palisade from Huffines Plano, I live in Houston, and never set foot in the dealership. Everything was done electronically. Also arrange your own shipping and don't let the dealership do it, they will mark up the shipping costs. The most efficient way is to use a broker.

I’m sorry, (and it’s clear that you’re just following orders) but both of these statements are nonsensical.

I think I already mentioned it...no point of repeating myself. I didn’t come up with our dealer rules at our particular location.

There’s no point of having further discussion about it. Will I be campaigning and find out if anything can be changed? Absolutely. Will it happen? Hopefully...I have many people lined up from California and I would love to do business with them. Ultimately it’s not my call.

Bottom line until further notice as stated by my original post:

1) We can order / reserve a vehicle all over the phone. The final transaction requires you to be at the dealer to take delivery of the car.

2) We do not sale to California

We can go ahead and go back to my original post.

Update:

SX-P (reserved)
S FWD Everlasting Silver (reserved)

New allocation with an estimated arrival time of February 18th:

SX FWD Snow White pearl gray interior with mudguards, cargo gray/folding and wheel locks. MSRP $43,270.

Adding this one to the original post. We still have 10 more with the addition of this one.

Reserves yours today. Send me a text 817-903-1130
