• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... ~20 months & 28k miles in, the car has been running super smooth. My only gripe is that the ABS tends to engage really quickly/easily? I realized it happens mostly when I'm driving on rougher surfaces (everywhere in Chicago). I've only had sports cars and sedans before so I'm not sure if this a Kia thing or just a larger vehicle thing?

Its not like ABS engages and does not disengage, it only engages for a few seconds (enough to hear the abs pulse, then it goes away a few seconds after)

Anyone experience the same thing?

If your foot is depressed on the brake pedal, and you hit ANY bump other than a tiny crack in the road, ABS pulses. What I have noticed on the Telluride and most modern cars.

Posted this in another thread but figured I'd pay it here too. . I have a 2022 SX fwd 1200 miles and feel a brake pulsation in the pedal at approximately 30 mph when decelerating. It happens even if I'm gentle on brakes. I Tried re-bedding but unsuccessful. It almost feels like a quick abs pulse at 30 mph then brakes smoothly when coming to a complete stop. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have been noticing the ABS pulse when going over rough surface while braking.

Seems to be a new feature. Hadn’t noticed it in first year.

Update: I visually inspected the rotors and noticed the cross hatch marks were still very visible, so that led me to believe that the brake pads haven't deposited enough material on the rotors for smooth stopping. I tried bedding the brakes again this morning and the vibration at 30mph is gone. My issue seemed to be related to the brakes not being broken in properly. Hope this helps and I will keep everyone updated if I notice any changes.
