AC doesn't turn on right away?

I have a 22 AWD EX, (Yes the rare one, not the -p). Sometimes when I start the car and the AC button is already on from last time, it doesn't turn on. Also sometimes when I start the car and hit the AC right away it doesn't turn on. For both I can turn off turn it on by pressing the button and it turns on. Kinda weird since the AC does work, just doesn't start when it already has been on or turned on right from the get go.

Anyone else have these funky issues?

The hvac in these cars, at least the early ones is simply put, weird. There are plenty of posts and reasons given. I'm just finishing a long trip and the heat just cuts out. The ventilated seats work unless you really need them and then they dissapont. Ac hasn't been as big of an issue seems to be mostly normal but it wouldn't surprise with the issues you have.

^Seems more like buggy software. Still odd to not have AC down pat at this point.
