In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. After market hitch

So, after all this great information about after market hitches, I called around to get an installation on the Stealth hitch, and was unable to find anything in my local area. So, the amazing Stealth people at the original Stealth site, did my installation yesterday. Just circling back around here to show you the results and I have to say, WOW, I am impressed. Here is our Telly with the hitch installed, and it is totally hidden, except when you want to use it. Absolutely no alteration to the bumper, and I love this clean look.

And here it is with the receiver locked on, and our Thule XP platform bike rack attached, tilted away and he is demonstrating the liftgate with the rack on. I am so excited.

This Stealth facility is top notch, clean, excellent presentation, and very informative. My technician, Jeremy, let me video all of the information for my husband, and it has a lifetime warranty. We are good to go! Hope this helps somebody out there, because I sure appreciate the information I have learned on this forum.

I bought the draw tite from e trailer less than an hour to instal. Extra pair of hands extremely helpful. No cutting. The tekonsha 4 pt plug super easy. Just received the 7pt plug. will let you know how that goes
Does the hitch touch the bumper at all or is there some space, like an inch or so? Thanks

Can I ask where you mounted the plug?

Hi I just need a hitch to tow my bikes. Had anyone gone to Uhaul for hitch installation?

The pictures don't show anymore, do you have new ones? Considering getting them. Thank you!

I got mine installed at u-haul. Wanted to know what everyone is towing? I was planning on towing a u-haul trailer, specifically the 5x8 cargo trailer when I move. Probably going to hit close to 2000 ibs including the trailer's weight. Has anyone attempted this? Mainly curious since the u-haul trailers are 4 pinned, so no trailer brakes. In my car, I only had the 4 pin anyways.

I have a curt hitch I installed and have used a utility trailer to tow loads up to 1000lbs. No issues. 4 pin connection.

Thanks for confirming. Feel more confident about that move now. Have you had any issues with using the drive assist function while towing?

I don’t use driver assist except blind monitor. Only hassle towing is the side mirrors dropping when in reverse. Learned here to put switch in middle to disable that function.

Got it. I think mine was disabled to begin with or I just don’t have that feature. Will find out about that drive assist since I have a 1700 mile drive

I got the Curt hitch to carry my bike around, for the most part it is also stealth and hidden behind the bumper, the only part visible is the receiver. Has anyone found a method for turning off the sensors for obstruction warning/cross traffic alert? Every time my bike is on the carrier and I put it in reverse the vehicle screams at me thinking about to hit something.

Hit this button. Pg 4-105 of the owners manual if you need the reference.

I just got a 2022 Telluride and I need to add a hitch. I've looked at the Curt, eTrailer, and Draw-Tite. Are any of those compatible with the KIA Bumper Cover? I prefer the look with the hitch cover as apposed to cutting the panel.

If you are okay with the hitch hanging lower. It’s not quite as tight fitting as the Kia hitch but it does appear to work. However, the Drawtite does appear to hang low enough that it does not require cutting.

Here’s an image:

As 202Telly said, the drawtite will clear the bumper without cutting, the Curt will not. So if you go with the Curt you will need to buy the tow hitch bumper cover if you don't want to cut out a piece. The picture below is a Curt hitch with the hitch bumper cover. I reached out to etrailer about the drawtite to confirm clearance and they said no cutting is required.

Hope that helps

I installed the Curt hitch and don’t understand the reservations with cutting the plastic cover. It comes off which makes it easy to measure and cut. I used a small dremmel and was done in 5 minutes. It looks great. Yes, it’s not as high as the factory hitch but I paid half the price and it works great.

I would agree that you DO NOT need the trim piece for any other hitch other than the KIA OE. The minor cutting of the trim panel is all that is needed.
