Aftermarket Power Liftgate for S Model???

Sorry for the late reply. Installation was done about a month ago. System works pretty much the same as a factory unit and is definitely worth the money. Installation was a lot harder than expected as the instructions are pretty useless. I started installing myself but gave up after about 5 hrs. The biggest issue is figuring out how to remove all the interior panels. The shop I used finished it in about 8 hours (it was their first install). The only thing I didn’t like was that it does NOT work with the factory trunk button on the fob. On some models the manufacture includes a canbus adapter that allows it to work but they don’t have one for Kia. Instead they tie into the unlock signal and open/close when you click the unlock button 3 times in close succession. I will post pictures when I get a chance.

Do you have any pictures or video of this lift gate installed and working? I just ordered a 2022 S and will want to add this lift gate to it. Thanks!

Just bought a 2022 s model thought it had the lift gate cuz it was on the fob. When you hold the button the park lights flash. Hoping there is an oem kit. Also looked on ebay on possible piecing it together but unsure of what components are needed. Any updates let us know

Coming from a BMW X5, I am finding myself missing a power liftgate more often than I thought I would. Is there a known aftermarket, or even dealer-installed way to get this into my S model?

Me too. Never occurred to me to research this feature in 2022.

I did find this (Automated Power Liftgate Retrofit Kit for 2020-2021 Kia Telluride) for anyone looking to add a power tailgate but I have never used it before. There are also installation videos out there. Some say that the installation can be tricky and they decided to have a local shop install it.

I know its been a long while since my last post. I have since sold the base LX model for a hefty sum and upgraded to the EX model. I can give some firsthand details on the differences between this kit and the factory unit. The first thing is of course the remote button working without having to try and hit the unlock button three times quickly. I also noticed that the factory unit moves much smoother and faster. The warning beeps are also integrated with the factory stereo. Overall the aftermarket unit is still worth it but don't expect it to be as good as the factory option.

Just installed the autoease power liftgate. Even though it's not factory, I find no issue with it whatsoever. A little tedious and lengthy of an install but it was well worth it.

Id try ensight automotive solutions they do install service and everything.ive had my installed for 2plus years no complaints
