• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone experienced either wheel balance issues or front end alignment/tire wear issues with their new T’Ride? Ours has 6000kms and I’m feeling a little bumping from a rear tire. I am also monitoring front tire shoulder wear. Will report more as results become available.

I've noticed this as well. Tire wear on outer edges. OE Michelin's are toast at 30K. Proper tire pressure is regularly set. Does the stock suspension have an aggressive alignment?

My OEM Primacy Tour A/S tires were also completely worn out at 30,000 miles. The dealer rotated the tires every 7500 miles at each oil change as recommended. Michelin does not warranty OEM tires for treadwear but if they were purchased as replacements the treadwear warranty is 55,000 miles. The treadwear was not just the edges, it was across the entire tread width. Some others on this forum have suspected the problem to be related the the AWD viscous coupler being defective and causing the excessive tire wear because it binds up in turns when the outside tire must rotate at a higher rate than the inside tire. This can be felt as a thumping, clunking coming from the rear which I have experienced frequently but has not been repeatable at the dealer so far. I replaced the tires totally out of my pocket despite speaking with the dealer service manager about it in relation to the AWD viscous coupler problem. I replaced the tires with Michelin CrossClimate2 tires and, at that time, I had the dealer perform an all-wheel alignment. The dealer tech printed out the before-and-after alignment and it was virtually spot-on as-is and only one wheel was a tiny bit out of spec for camber. So, alignment is not an issue in the excessive tire wear I experienced.

In my case the center of the tread is Ok. I’ve also kept up with alignments. I do get a slight vibration at 65mph sometimes, but no other thumping or clunking. I will get my alignment checked soon to see if it’s the culprit

In my last post I meant to say that I’ve kept up with tire rotations. It looks like in my case that it was maybe a bad alignment. Newly balanced wheels and tires seems to have fixed the vibration.

I've had a similar experience with the OEM Primacy Tour A/S tires as well. I replaced them at 27,800 miles with Michelin CrossClimate2 a few weeks ago. I've been wondering if I need a wheel alignment or not. I will be going to the dealer in the next week for an oil change and will have them check the alignment. So, how much does the dealer charge for a wheel alignment? He'll probably say I need an alignment, whether it needs it or not :(
