  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Am I the first?

Makes sense to OP, which is all that matters.

Just buying a new car doesn't make sense, given the instant depreciation, but I've done a lot of that myself too.
I guess it works out a bit better with this Kia since it's popular that you end up getting a good trade-in price. For most other cars out there, I don't think it's worth taking a big hit so you can get remote start on the key fob (just an example)

I, curiously, always ask to see if people trade-in a 1-2 year old car for different color options or actual need. That's all.

If you can afford it.....

I traded in a one year old vehicle to get my Telly; the deal worked for me. I think as long as the money works then it’s not a big deal. Each persons reasons are their own.

In this case, OP upgraded to Prestige and added self-levelling.

Exactly that. If you've got the money, knock yourself out.

I traded in a 2013 Honda. What's funny about this thread is that no-one "needs" a Telluride in the first place. I could have kept my CRV - it was in perfect condition. But I "needed" this Telly! Lol.

Just out of curiosity I looked on CarMax the other day for Tellurides (nationwide search) and about two dozen showed, most of them the base LX trim. All of them, with low-ish 10-40k mileage on them, cost more than we paid for our brand new "S" ride in early summer after they first hit the market. I know that CarMax isn't the cheapest way to buy cars but that still suprised me. So, yeah, trade-in value should be very strong still.
