• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My Telly is a year old now and consistently the Android Auto connection will spontaneously fail. When I say spontaneous I mean neither the phone nor the cable will have been touched/moved and it will just disconnect. I have tried two cables and it happens randomly with both. My work provides me an iPhone as well which I have tried once or twice plugging in for Apple Car Play use and, so far, I have not had the same disconnecting issue. On rare occasions (on Android Auto) the device will reconnect on its own, but it is so inconsistent that I never bother with that function of my car and have settled on Bluetooth.

Does anyone else suffer these intermittent connection losses? If not can you tell me what precise cable you use in your Telly that doesn't have these issues? Thank you.

Known issue. I am taking my car in next week and have mentioned it to the dealership. Other posters here have had their infortainment system replaced/repaired? Apparently not a software issue. Mine will work fine but many bugs with incoming phone calls causing it to crash among other issues with flat out not registering.

My 2020 does the same thing. Was told it was my cable...cable was fine and works in the USB port. I believe it's Kia software problem since other vehicles I've connected to has had no problem

Same problem here. Cable works fine on my wife's Volkwagen. Wish it could be resolved.

Same here. Samsung S21 Ultra. Works on bunch of rentals I had other years but fails with _two_ Tellurides I had so far (20 and 22) I wonder if anyone got any response beyond blaming the cables etc

Any new updates on this. It seems I have to keep buying new USB cables every 6 months or so.
