Anxious in Pittsburgh

Hello all: have been lurking in background for couple of weeks to get a feel for conversations. Ordered an Everlasting Silver EX on April 14 from lower volume dealer, but got a call that order was picked up by Kia (didn’t realize dealer was low volume until I accessed failcat after finding this forum). ETA of 8/28. Didn’t get premium package because have an elderly dog who needs bench seat for second row. Have certainly learned a great deal since reviewing forum posts and am luck that I’m just paying MSRP with acceptable deal costs added to bottom line. Getting excited about vehicle, but a little apprehensive about trade-in, since that’s where they could still get me. However, so far, dealer has been responsive and upfront with all costs and am hoping for the best.

I am trading in a 2017 Audi Q7 Prestige. Nice ride, lots of power, but not as reliable as you would expect for such a high end car.

Used cars are at an absolute premium, especially one like yours, (wife drives a Q5 Prestige). I would get a price from companies like Carsence and other buyers prior to meeting with Kia. You will lose some on the trade in if you don't use the dealership which should e factored in. I'm also from da burg fyi,!

Thanks for advice; actually live about a mile from Carsense, so well-worth stopping in to get an offer from them.

You might get a sales tax break by trading in at the dealer (depending on your state), but it's probably best to confirm that before assuming. Just something to factor in to your comparisons.

As stated, in this market should be getting top dollar for your trade-in.

Also get a quote from Carvana or Vroom.
