  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... hi everyone. I have been "in the market" for a 2022 kia telluride SX Nightfall edition with prestige package in black copper with dune nappa interior since October 2021. I have tried to contact all the kia dealers in the state of Florida, Georgia and Alabama to see if
A. Anyone had this particular vehicle or
B. Could anyone get this vehicle for me
to no avail.
I am incredibly frustrated because I feel like all I have done is given ALL my information out and gotten nothing in return.
Most recently I had been dealing with the Kia dealership in Key West FL (actually it was my father dealing with them because he lives in the keys) and they were going to pre-order for me on December 17th without charging over MSRP for it and I would get it in 6-8 weeks. Then it was the end of December, then it was their January order, then February and now I have been told that due to the 'chip shortage' KIA is not taking any pre-orders whatsoever so I am out of luck. What?!?
Can anyone on this forum tell me if this is true or give me some advice on how I can obtain the Telluride mentioned above.
I sincerely appreciate it!

I feel your pain. I ordered in august and my order still hasn’t been picked up. Idk much about the dealers near you, but i25 takes custom orders and will ship to you. you may be in for a 2023 at this point though

Sheri, I recently purchased on January 20th a Nightfall SX in Gravity Grey with Butterscotch interior. I did this because Kia told me the car I ordered in October would not be in for more than 6 months. But, i just received a call that the Telluride I order is in! So, I am actually looking to sell this one and hopefully get what i paid the dealer. It only has 23 miles on it - my wife is on maternity leave and we have barely driven it. I am in Kentucky, so that may be a barrier, but thought i would offer it up to you.

I think there are 3 categories for buyers like you:

  1. Those that find the car they want, pay whatever the cost, and drive away
  2. Those that order a car for as close to MSRP as they can find, put a deposit on it and wait.
  3. Those that luck out and find a car that mostly fits there need and close to MSRP (Right time, right place)
The last 2 options, you need a trustworthy dealer as mentioned in the good dealer thread.
There are plenty of dealers for option 1! 🙄
