• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Summertime, no big deal, but in the winter when it's -20c (or worse), I'm tired of getting a blast of cold air coming in the driver footwell every time I turn the bloody steering wheel. I haven't been able to track down and exact location, but it seems to come in near where the door is hinged to the body... the gasket on the door seems to be in it's proper place, so I'm baffled... and getting cranky when I crank the steering wheel. Anyone have a similar experience or thoughts on this?

Is your door swinging open? 🤪 Haha, thats a new one I have never seen before. To allow for such an influx of air, the shifting of the body would be inconceivable for this in such a new car. Let me know how it goes.

turning left, right or both?

Drivers footwell only or passenger as well?

hard aggressive turns, gradual turns or both

I'm only aware of it on the driver's side, as that's the only side I'm ever in. It seems to happen during slow, hard turns when the wheel would be approaching full turn lock to the left... almost like it's creating a wind channel to deflect the air past the tire into the back of the wheel well. I don't ever remember it happening on gradual turns. But I'll be out driving today, and it's colder than a witch's... nose..., so I'll pay closer attention to when it occurs

Maybe one of the rubber grommets under the dash isn't properly seated? There are usually a few between the engine bay and driver foot area. Doesn't explain the turning part though

It could explain if as Cal stated wheel pointed left is directing air to the area of a loose or mis-installed grommet....

Reconfirmed yesterday (today is -29C btw). Happens during full or near full wheel lock to turn left. I'll check grommets and fasteners when things warm up a little. For those of you Fahrenheit folks, -32C and -32F are the same temperature, so you can get a feel for that fact it's a bit chilly here right now. :)
