• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'd like to install a roof platform, however they I feel it would be floating far too high. If anyone knows of an off-the-shelf solution with a low profile or just has one installed, would you mind sharing a pic?

I currently have Yakima crossbars installed on SXP, but I'd be open to removing them altogether if there was a better option.

Send photos of your crossbars on your SX Prestige

you can see it here

Well looks like no one else has... I went ahead and put the Yakima LocknLoad platform on my telluride. Sits higher than I wanted but has grown on me.

Thing looks stout! Like you can land a drone on it at high speeds.
Sits a lil high yea but looks good

What is the size of this lock n load? Can you post pic of a front angle please? Thank you! Have you discovered any lower profile roof bars?

I have not discovered any lower profile bars and have looked quite extensively. However, it's not bad. I have the rail perimeter kit also which I'm going to put on later today most likely. That's definitely going to bump it up quite a bit if I do.

The size is Model K (55" x 49") and is the suggested size by Yakima on their site for compatibility. Honestly, I think it could go one step larger.

Update: I did install the perimeter rail kit. I would advise against it unless you want to hear a load whistling noise. I have tried numerous things to quiet it down to no avail. Therefore, only using it when you need it is probably best if you have to have it.

Just in case anyone is curious, it looks like thisView attachment 10212
I've been looking at that LockNLoad too, seems like a great platform. Any thoughts after having it for a couple years? I guess the perk of having it mounted that high is no concerns if you have the sunroof. I was trying to see if there was a way to mount it lower but seems like its not possible from what I can see.
