• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Didn't apple pull this a couple a years ago, and then they realized how hard it is to build cars and that you can't just abandon customers when the next IOs or model comes out.

That sounds right so I think this time Apple may be buying a large interest in Kia worth almost $4B. Kia is already changing marketing and branding to sound more Apple'ish. Time will tell...........

I think that's probably why they're partnering with an automaker who actually knows what's involved. They kind of did the same thing with Motorola in the '00s to learn the ins and outs of the cell phone industry, so they knew exactly what they were getting into when they blew it up a few years later with the iPhone :D

And for the record, Apple has much longer support lifecycles than virtually anyone else in the consumer tech sector.

Should I start selling that badge??

Expect your 2024 iCar to become obsolete in 2025.
The New company will be called iKIA
And the iCar will be cheaply made, but looks good, and you have to assemble it yourself.

Service technicians will now be referred to at "Service Geniuses", and it will be an additional $89.95 to talk to an actual person

Apple was expecting a Foxconn from Hyundai, but supposedly Hyundai is the one backed out of the deal. Hyundai is about to launch its own e-GMP platform cars (Ioniq series), a byproduct of their heavy investment on Rimac. Hyundai wanted a partnership with Apple but what Apple wanted was a subcontractor like Foxconn. There was nothing for Hyundai to gain from this partnership.
