• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... April 2021 Infotainment Update?

Mapnsoft site continues to say April 12. Check back then for more info. No one is going to know anything until it’s released.
I traded my 2021 for a 2022 and was shocked when the whole screen was different. How do we know when the update comes out and how do you do it? I never did one on my other Telluride.

The updates are typically twice per year. The times (and number of updates) may vary... last year saw three updates, for example. The update earlier this year was in April, the late one is to be in November (the 8th as I write this).

As an update's normal timeframe approaches, you can usually find more information about the actual date at Mapnsoft, the site where you can order a ready-made USB stick with the update on it. Once the update is actually available, you can download it directly for yourself at update.kia.com. All of the instructions are available there. It will also show on the "notifications" page there when a new update is available.

Remember that first and foremost, these are navigation updates. They do, however, usually contain some additional feature upgrades. And last November's update included some UI changes to give older models like the Telluride the same interface as other new Kias.

Anybody take the plunge yet? Looks like the same purple UI, possibly expanded, whatever that means, added ability to have the Black Nighttime Theme all the time, new password for Valet mode so they can't mess with the radio...and that's about it?

Yup. Need a UVO subscription for Valet mode and the new Calendar app. Other minor tweaks and updated maps.

There is already a discussion thread here with several owners that have installed the latest update.

Its just a new black color for the map instead of the white/tan/brown options previously. Or basically the UVO map color you see when it is night, you can use that during the daytime now.

So I guess they don’t bother fixing the “Controller setting error” for early 2022 when trying to set the ambient light to stay bright when moving.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I thought. Think I will keep my powder dry for now, and keep my old version. In the meantime, wait to see what a future update will bring. Btw, I use CarPlay as well, and navigate with my google map app. It shows where the radar traps are set on my route. Very handy since I have trouble keeping my Telly under 80!
I don't mind the purple, by map on split Home Screen is blacked out....
