• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I much prefer 18" tires/rims given the extra sidewall it has over 20". Not to mention that replacing 20" is more expensive than 18" tires.

Am I the only one who thinks that 20" is just overkill for the Telluride?

to each their own , I think 20s look much better BUT I know the practicality of 18s may be more functional ...................for mostly city driving I would go 20s , if you have crappy roads then go 18s

Vancouver roads, for the most part, are fine so 20" works well. But in Edmonton, we have terrible winter which creates a lot of potholes. 20" tires aren't the best. Debating to go down to 18".

Split the diff and go 19s , we have plenty of lousy roads here too . There was a member here that went down to 19s and it looked great and he was happy with the extra sidewall ................I think 18 just look too small on a vehicle this size .............but they probably work the best on poor roads

I’ve had big top-of-the-line rims on a few previous cars and my wife’s current ride. They look so good and make any run of the mill car look much better. However, I’ve shelled out about $1000 over the years to have wheels bent back into round by specialty wheel shops and having tires replaced. Not to mention the curb rash repair that ive had to have done twice to the wife’s car. The tires will also be much more expensive. It usually cost me at least $1000 to put new tires on my previous ride. Bigger rims look better but come with a price. They also impact ride quality. Just depends on what’s more important to you and what’s in your budget.
