If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Are allocations ever filled out of order?

On 6/21 my dealer "confirmed" that I was #1 in line for the 2022 SXs, and that KFOS had accepted my order. Yet since that date, they've had 4 other SXs show up in failcat. Now I really think they're lying to me about where I am in the process, stringing me along so I don't jump to another dealer.

So my question is, do VINs ever pop up in Failcat out of order from when KFOS has accepted them? I could understand a day or two, but a month?

I don't know the answer to your questions but those VIN's could be dealer allocated inventory.

After entering into KFOS, give 45-60 more days. Failcat displays VINs of produced vehicles. Not orders.

Yes, but what makes little sense to me are these SXs showing up for the dealer right now. If I was #1, how are these coming up first? Again, I was not just #1 in waiting to be ordered, but I was told I was the #1 already ordered

There are two systems KDealer and KFOS. Orders are entered into KDealer and when KFOS opens up, it pulls the orders from KDealer and removes them. Then the KDealer orders all move up the amount that were removed. The orders that you are seeing coming in were orders that were in KDealer before yours was entered. Once KFOS grabs an order it can take 30-60 days to arrive. Once KFOS grabs it, you should have an ETA within a couple of days. And to answer your question, Yes, someone who is in the same KFOS batch but "behind" you , could receive theirs first.

Yes I know the difference between KDealer and KFOS, but there couldn't have been any earlier orders left in KDealer, as they were all wiped out at the 21/22 switch. Anything in before mine would have had to been filled as a '21.

Well, then your dealer really sucks at not keeping you updated.

Failcat could have not picked up your vin. Your car could also be further back in the build schedule than other cars that were ordered at the same time. They could have technically submitted your order first but Kia could've scheduled other vehicles ahead of yours due to options/colors, etc.

You have an ETA, based on what it is, it should get built in the next three weeks or so based on my experience. Outside of trying to hunt one down that's available, there's nothing you can do but wait anyway.

A VIN won't immediately show up in Failcat. If you got a July KFOS pick up, it will not be there yet. The Failcat VINs are likely from prior months. If you were not #1 until after the June KFOS, as I understand your original post, then there isn't any cause for concern yet.

Getting back to your original question: No, KFOS does not pull orders out of sequence for a specific trim and drivetrain. The only way that would happen is if your dealer is taking orders but not actually entering them into Kdealer. And yes, some dealers are doing that in order to order lot inventory.

I think you're looking too much into this. You have an initial ETA of 9/29 so it's possible you'll be seeing the car on Failcat 3-4 weeks prior to that.

I wasn't the first after June KFOS, I was the first in June KFOS.
