Hey all!

I am in the hunt for a 2021 Telluride. I just started hunting for one. Just like everyone else, my area dealers are adding $5-6K on MSRP. Which is crazy.

I am looking for:
2021 Tellurde EX AWD
-Gravity Gray
-EX Premium Package
-Towing Package

Has anyone in the area had any luck? I don't mind waiting short time because I have a working vehicle. Is it best to order one with a dealer or keep searching on failcat for allocation vehicles coming to nearby dealers (I live in Maryland)? I don't know where to start, but I know I don't want to pay over MSRP. ANY tips and/or recommendations would be appreciated. Also, I don't mind traveling a little for the perfect match. Thanks in advance!

The good dealer experience thread mentioned.

DARCARS Kia in Temple Hills, Maryland

Parsons Winchester, Virginia

Depending on how long you want to wait will probably determine which path to take for ordering. I think there is a delay in ordering cars with tow package right now because of shortage in parts.

Doesn’t hurt to place a refundable deposit for MSRP with a nearby dealer without a ridiculous long wait line, and decent monthly allocations. Then continue your search on failcat for something very similar already in production and doesn’t already have a buyer. It would be better to disclose your intentions of ordering while looking elsewhere, but even if not disclosed the dealer should have no issue selling to somebody else for more money if you do end up buying elsewhere.

Also take a look at nowcar.com they have received good reviews and ship straight to you

I just did some searching for you, cross referencing failcat with dealer website. This one came up in Massachusetts: 2021 Kia Telluride EX in Lancaster, MA | Worcester Kia Telluride | Ron Bouchard Kia
I have no idea where you live but it is worth a shot. You could have the vehicle shipped to you.
I don't know anything about this dealer and if they are charging over MSRP
Good Luck!
(P.S. That's a great car - I got the exact same one on 1/15/21 and love it)

Thank you very much. I really appreciate the info. I never thought buying a car would be so difficult. I'll reach out to them tomorrow.

I appreciate it, but I live in Maryland. I'll try calling them tomorrow though and see how much shipping is.

Awesome! We just test drove one Saturday (Dark Moss) and we fell in love. The dealer I went to was $6K over MSRP which is crazy.

Nowcar. Search the reviews on this site. There’s a gal that’s helped a few members
