Hey guys. I’ve never had to place an order ahead of time like this before. How does the process work? Is there a predetermined price? What is the deposit amount that you have to put down? Can you pick the exact configuration you want in terms of exterior color, interior color, options? I’m also looking for the SXP.

Really depends on the dealer, but I would talk price first to see what they are selling them for..if it's 10K over sticker, you obviously want to go somewhere else. The deposit depends on the dealer also, some 1000, some 500, some none. Do a build on Kia's website to see what one you want and what options, colors you want and it will also show you what MSRP will be for the options you choose. Then when you figure out what you want, take that to your dealer of choice and tell them what you want. Some dealers aren't good at communicating, some are and will tell you whenever there is a change in your order. Good luck.

Just like everyone else in this forum, I was told that I will have to wait hopefully by the end of August or September to order a Telluride SX Prestige package. In the mean time, I am thinking if I just order SX without prestige package by saving $4,000 (NOT getting AWD as well) or wait until KIA takes an order for prestige package? Ayone those who own a Telluride SX and SX packge, I do appreciate your response for making a better decision!

Ya. Ive been trying hard to convince myself to drop the extra money because I really love the dune interior but I just cant do the AWD. It hurting MPG adds insult to injury.

I was in the exact same boat. I loooove the dune Brown interior so much. Just not for 4k with extra maintenance and poor gas mileage and added maintenance of all wheel drive

My deposit was $500 and i paid $2500 below MSRP but yes, I'm waiting probably until Christmas or longer for it to arrive.

I think the HUD is actually the biggest difference. This will be the 4th vehicle with HUD (2 corvettes and currently daily drive a genny 5.0 sedan). HUD offers a huge amount of info- speed, cruise setting vs actual speed, cruise control following distance, if a car is detected in front for cruise or not, GPS, media, speed, school zone, HDA, lane keep assist, blind spots, and crash avoidance. Probably can be customized more as well but getting used to all that.

Not sure I will own another vehicle without HUD.

Good, I assume you have ordered a prestige package? Not sure the timeline in the Canada, but it looks like taking around 6-10 weeks in the US. Congrats on your new ride.

Friday viewed a moss green SX FWD with the Butterscotch interior it absolutely was the most beautiful interior color in my opinion.
