    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi All,

I decided on a Telluride based on various reviews and online research. Amongst other things, I need a powerful enough SUV to pull my new TAB400 RV Camper Trailer and the Telluride seemed to check all the boxes.

The challenge, I am discovering, is to find one at a reasonable price!

I'm in California in the San Francisco Bay Area and the experience I had this evening was not encouraging ($9600 over MSRP for the SC Prestige with Towing package). I'm going to keep looking but I have a tight deadline since I have already bought the RV trailer. I realize that almost literally qualifies as putting the cart before the horse, but that is where I find myself!

If there is anyone here in the Bay Area or elsewhere in California that has advice for me for finding a car in-state at (or even close) to MSRP, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks ... y'all seem like a real nice bunch of people!

Check out Hilltop Kia

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. What might the Telluride be replacing for you? I'm glad you found us. :)

@Grumpie,

Some out-of-touch wasteful lunatics in California waste money on $300 soup :sick: and $1,500 bottles of Napa wine-snob wine (n), but thankfully, most of us are not wasteful imbeciles like Prince Gavin. These 6K-10K "market" "adjustments" don't sit well with most people who do actual work for a living. Living in CA is already expensive enough.

I bought mine from Hilltop Ford/Kia over in Richmond. They have a huge line to get Telly orders into KFOS but at least you can get the exact Telly you want if you've already spec'd out the trim level, FWD or AWD, exterior/interior combination (want a winning combo? Dark Moss Dune Brown), fill out an order form and put in a deposit and be really patient. Took 3 and a half months from deposit to delivery but I put my deposit down in mid-August 2020 when the line wasn't as long as it is now.

@Moe is a rockstar and is consistently recommended by his many die-hard fans here in the Forum. (y)

I worked with sales manager Carlos @HilltopKia and the great Lewis to help us finish the process and finally got to say "Hi" to Moe the other week when I stopped by for my Telly's 7,500 mile oil change/first service, and sure enough, he indicated that Telly demand is still strong, especially for any AWD Telly.

Hilltop Ford/Kia is a good bet if you're already within striking distance of their dealership. Great guys on the sales team, parts department, service department, and fair deals for normal people like us. Highly-recommended (y)

Thanks a ton. Yes. I am reaching out to Hilltop since they seem to be the easy winner in the SF Bay Area.

@Telluride Forum It's not replacing anything just yet. I just bought a small RV Camper (Nucamp Tab 400) and I am looking for something as a tow vehicle and a comfortable ride to go camping in. We also need something that we can drive into our farm in muddy and rainy conditions, so an AWD is a "must have". Other than the AWD and the tow package, the SX and Prestige seemed like nice "want to have" - until I began trying to actually find one :)

I'm beginning to think I might have to give up on the AWD and SX if I want to get one soon, or at worst, just settle for a recent 4Runner and wait it out until 2022 or 2023 to get my Telluride.

Any advice/experience with stepping down from the SX/Prestige would be most welcome and appreciated.

Our Telluride should be here March 31st We ordered the tow package/says will pull 5000 pounds. Our reason for getting is the extra suspension to haul our ebikes on a heavy bikerack.

Up to 5,000 lbs
