• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I read in the recent Car & Driver 10 Best issue that the Tellurides have an auxiliary cabin heater that will heat up quickly before the engine gets up to temp.
2022 Kia Telluride: Car and Driver 10Best

Can anyone verify this and share if it actually works well? Lots of cold weather out there to test it out now!
Was this added in 2022 or did it always have it?

Thanks!

I own a 21 SX-P NF and in my opinion, the cabin heater is the #1 complaint that I have about the Telluride. It takes a long time to heat the cabin and when you are idle at a stop light, the heater blows cold air.

Just my 2 cents.

Same here. And they allegedly updated the AWD heaters for 2021 iirc. Doesn't appear to be so but fortunately we don't live in a cold climate so it's not a deal breaker on our AWD SX.

It may be that that website is misconstruing the words for what was actually updated for the 2021 model years.

PTC heater could just mean it uses a newer generation thermostat that maintains temps more accurately. Not necessarily a separate electric heater that warms up the car faster.

There are still plenty of 21 and 22 owners who complain remote start heating is still not as warm as they’d like.

I've been really fortunate with the HVAC system in mine as well as pretty much the whole vehicle other than the dryer packs and headlight assemblies changed out under warranty as well as the cracking windshield and a rear driver taillight assembly due to condensation.
Is I've been really blessed and fortunate.🤞

Thanks for the input. This makes me wonder if the auxiliary electric heater was added for 22 due to complaints like yours.

My 2022 Nightfall doesn’t heat up at start like I would like it to. Takes for ever to get the cabin warmed up.

Just returned from a 1700 mile trip through the all the national parks in southern Utah towing our 16ft Lance camper. The interior heater seems possessed! Doesn't like to blow warm air till you turn the temperatures up to high 70's or the max HI, particularly when it's cold out. In more moderate temperatures it seems to be better acting. Fortunately we have the seat heaters to help.

That's interesting. I live in Minnesota, where we know what cold is, and I haven't had an issue. My car warms up just fine.
