• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... In my 2012 Sorento, I use a Cellphone with Waze to navigate everywhere. While the Kia Nav app built into the Telluride is good, it's no Waze. But I'm having issues with basic stuff getting Android to work. So I'm looking for good resources on Android Auto that's been update for the 2022 Telluride.

For example the voice button, when pressed, tells me to exit Andoid auto and then use Google Assistant. I have no idea what to do there. I saw a Youtube video where the guy pressed the voice button and held it. Not sure if my simple press is interpreted differently.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Android Auto is going to be the same no matter what, so anything you find regarding how AA works should be the same across the board.

Just plug your phone in to the center USB port and go.

When you have your Android phone plugged in and using AA, a short press of the voice button on the steering wheel will give you the Kia voice assistant. A long press of the same button will give you your Google Assistant.

You also don't need to press any button and just say "ok google". "Ok google, drive to dunkin donuts"....."Ok, handing off to waze". "Ok google, play yacht rock on Pandora"...."OK, playing yacht rock on dsmclones pandora".
